NIU/ Ball State

Jerry Kill has done a tremendous job at N. Illinois . In a very short period of time he has developed the MAC's best defense. This matchup is especially interesting because it features the MAC's best offense vs the best defense.

I have watched Ball State and N. Ill play on several occasions this season. My thoughts are that the Huskies just might slow down Lewis and the Cards running game. If that indeed happens Ball State could be in trouble. They are not the same team they were before Love went down. They are still quite good but not as explosive.

Tough game to cap, because if Lewis gets off I'm full of crap but I'm leaning towards the Huskies and the under. Waiting for +10 before playing the side but I already played it under, two very good defenses should hold the number down.

Toledo/ Akron

I like the over here and may play Toledo. not sure yet. Neither team can stop anybody, great weather and two solid kickers all should have a positive effect on the total.

As far as the side goes, I have found over the years that its not good practice to lay points with the Zips. They are in better health following the extra long bye and this game is very meaningful for Akron but I just can't play them.

For now:
Ball State under 47 5 units
Akron over 54' 3 units

Leans to both dogs

good luck with your plays tonight spang...

Thanks AR, I'm close to even for the year thanks to tailing guys like you, Ray, MC and Hawkeye. If I could just stop playing my own, I'd be in great shape. :mj07:

Its really pretty odd because I watch a lot of MAC football and do have better than average knowledge of the conference. You would think that that would translate into a nice record but it has not happened this year. Hoops can't get here fast enough.
