I have been haveing back problem and hip for about 10/11 days now. Fletch would understand this becuase of his back problems 6/7 months ago. I mean it's a basterd. Problem 2 I have many problems with many pain med's. So some of the chit they try to put me on I fight like hell not to take. Fletch not picking on you here. But do afew of you remember what Fletch was like on some those meds, They had him all Fu???? up good. So im angry and pissed off real easy now days. I was bout to cancel my trip plans. Then this chit here with pay service and other piss-en and just things in general. I said the hell with any trip. So MJ I was more then 3/4 not coming then this other stuff helped give me excuse not to. Im not mad at MJ im not mad at nobody. Im more pissed off as to why now. My back and hip have not hurt for 26 years. And last of all. If someone wants to sell there picks. I dont care. I just did not want to see it here for my own reasons. Hell I would rather MJ just charge ever darn one of us a flat 20 bucks a year. Then lets have every good capper put nothing but his best in the open for all to see. And Mj if it has to be 30 a year fine. Hell we might even keep some of the SOB's like me the hell out of the site Chit first smile in about 6 days. then those you wish to give a few bucks you can. Hey if they can start one hell of there own business because there that good. Great for them. MJ you will not send anypart of that 100 bucks back. I told you I owe many at that party a drink or two. If my 100 bucks helps do that. That's great. Excuse the spelling folks by computer cant spell for shit and I can't either.

Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear that your back and hip have been bothering you. If I was closer and in the same state etc etc I would try to help you any way that I could (as a friend). For those that don't know I'm a chiropractor.

I have enjoyed reading djv's posts and corresponding with him over the months. Like many others here who I have never met I consider him a friend.

I too remember when Fletch had his accident awhile back and was a bit nuts with his postings because of pain and pain meds.

I hope that the board will cut you some slack and that Fletch will find it in his heart to forgive you if you hit a nerve of his.

I have been a bit stressed/upset over what I read on this board over the past week.

Personally, I think the info here is worth paying for... I would be willing to pay 25-50 dollars A MONTH for access. And I think that we as bulletin board members are asked to contribute to keep this board alive... I think that we should do so.

Then again... I can understand how some people were offended that something that has always been free was now perhaps going to be for pay .. or going to be unaffordable to them.

I too..have been wound very tight the last week. Between running to and from the hospital (Kathy is in again for about a month for additional chemo and is in remission but still undergoing treatment......maybe even a bone marrow transplant in a couple of months), not sleeping well, worrying about hospital bills, training someone to replace Kathy in the office and trying to conduct business as usual when I'm about half upset most of the time. This weekend my x-ray unit went south.. so I all sorts of stuff on my mind.

My point is....

This is a family. Let's get along boys and girls. I have come to love many members here like brothers and sisters and care about all of you. When a certain person goes "off"... just remember that in print on the board here.. it may look like someone is just deliberately being an a$$hole when there may be other factors involved that we cannot even comprehend.. or have no possible way of knowing.

If I am able to make it to Las Vegas I hope to see you there djv. I'm so iffy right now that if I had to say one way or another i would just say.. no I'm not going to be there. But I still hope that by some miracle that Kathy and I will be able to attend.

And if I don't make it.... I have already said that I donate my entry fee of 200 to the board or Jack.. whatever. Makes no difference. I just want my friends to have fun whether we are able to attend or not.

I've only been hanging out at MJ's for about a year now, but it has become an integral part of my daily routine. There are a lot of really good and honest people here, something that becomes more rare each day. Some day I'm gonna make it to the Superbowl party. Some day.

djv - I hope that nobody is angry over the recent goings on here. I may not agree with you, but always enjoy what you have to say because it makes sense. Betting sports, after all, is just a disagreement over the potential outcome. I hope you can regain your health, maintain happiness, and drop by MJ's now and then. You will be missed.

Az thks and you are correct you might help. I don't understand it all. Somethng to do with the knuckle in the hip joint. Have no idea what that means. Arthritic condition is present. With me favoring that. I now have the nerves in my butt of all places inflamed. I have ajob where I can sit 1/2 the day. I had my computer at work set up on a raised work station so I can stand as much as I want.
And all this chit started because I shoveled about 1 or 2 inches of snow. Started going to a sports med dock Friday. The thing is they want to juice me up and I won't do it. So I deal with this pain best way. Take lots of bufferian. It works for a hour or two but dame little. Right leg keep going to sleep. So now they will look into that. All this and I was to take a second trip to Florida week after SB. That was even more important then SB party. I know hard to believe if you come to this site. But it was and I will keep that to myself. So like I told Jack I don't think I could handle 3/4 hours in a plane. And this thing with the leg is on my nerves and my mind is already playing tricks.
Ferdville im not going any place. Im staying here just to have fun and make sure you stay out of trouble.

i think, even though i'm 43, and sometimes wonder if there are any other old men here, i got a dose of post traumatic flashback from that time about 10 years back i bought some basketball picks from a guy who called himself 'cassie russell'. yea, and i bought 'em.

mj's has given me the best straight up info i've found anywhere. hell yea i would pay a fee to be a member.

If you don't have my e mail anymore (Kathy 'fixed" my computer a month or so ago and she fixed your address right out of the comptuer.. really) Jack has it.

If he won't help.. and I think he will.. I'll just post my office phone number in here. I'm reluctant to though because I don't want to run the chance of having scandicappers calling me at the office.

As far as the rest of you... don't mind if you have my phone number because.. who knows? you might be in town sometime and need a chiro or just a sympathetic shoulder to cry on!

Call Randy or get a referral to a local chiropractor and see if it helps. I'm talking from personal experience.

About 10 years ago, I went to the Alabama v. Tennessee game in Knoxville. When I stood up for the National Anthem, it felt like someone had stabbed me in the lower back & hip with a bowie knife. I had done a lot of walking around Gatlinburg the day before and must have aggravated my right hip, but whatever the cause, I thought I was going to die. I spent a week undergoing treatment by my MD (muscle relaxers, pain pills, etc) and was messed up as a chicken for the entire time but no change at all in condition. If I was unlucky enough to sneeze without a prop or wall nearby, I would almost collapse to the ground.

Finally I got desparate and called a chiro buddy and begged for relief. Before getting his help, I had thought of the chiropractic field along the same lines as faith healers and voodoo witches (my ignorance) and refused to grant them any credence.

2 days later, my pain had decreased by 50% to 70%, and after about a week I was back to normal. I have been a sporadic visitor to him ever since--I can tell from my hip when things are right and will go in for a quick fix. I also threw my wallet away (at the time, I was competing for the George Costanza award as my wallet was roughly the size of a softball).

Good luck and stay away from shots, which do nothing to fix the problem. A local ortho explained to me that Cortizone is comparable to putting a piece of tape over the warning lights on the dash of your car. You won't know about the problem anymore but it's still there.
