But it will only be successful if there is a group buy in for participation. I have added the poll to get an idea of who would participate.
Here are the guidelines if we choose to do this:
1. The requirement for this year's Secret Santa gift exchange will be a $25 total value, minimum, there is no set maximum dollar amount. But do keep in mind that your Secret Santa is only required to spend the minimum on your gift as well, and may choose to do so. If this is the case, do not get upset and post, your dissatisfaction, but accept your gift graciously and thank your Secret Santa accordingly.
2. If you are under the age of 21 you MUST notify me to allow your Secret Sana to know alcohol is not an option. Gifts are open to anything within US Postal regulations. If you are under 21 you must NOTIFY me, Jack or Santa.
3. If a problem arises and you cannot participate after the names have been drawn, please notify me as soon as possible so I can make adjustments.
4. Post gift ideas for others in the Secret Santa 2008, ultimately this is where all the fun takes place as its a forum... you can ask your kid what he wants for Christmas or put out gift ideas for yourself. Also, use this thread to notify them of shipment with tracking to see package status. Others can join in on the fun as well offering up their own ideas of what Santa should bring your kid for Christmas. Kids can also use this thread to notify Santa when their gift arrives and thank Santa for his generosity.
5. Please use a method of mailing that has a tracking number or delivery confirmation number.
If there is a problem with your package in transit please notify me ASAP.
6. Most of all, enjoy yourself and have fun!
Dates To Remember:
Oct. 30: Official Poll Results Yes or No
October 31: Official SS08 sign ups begin. After signing up in the "Official Thread" you will then need to email me your mailing address, even if you think I already have it, you must email me your current mailing address.
November 10th: Secret Santa 2008 sign ups are closed.
November 17th: Cut off date to email me your mailing address. I will not go out hunting down a mailing address. Unfortunately, if I do not receive your mailing information by this date you will not be able to participate in this years Secret Santa.
November 21st: Your Secret Santa kids name and mailing address will be emailed to you. Once you have the name and address of your kid, please work in a timely manner to get your Secret Santa package in the mail. Please don't leave your kid hanging.
December 12: Final day for mailing out your Secret Santa package. DO NOT MISS THIS DATE
