On the course!
Does "unique" mean individuals? Such as 27,000 individuals visited, or if I check in 30 times, is that 30 of those 27,000?

27,000? That is one hell of a lot of lurking!

yyz, i'm not really sure. i 'think' a unique visit is an individual 'unique' visit (time spent during one visit). i think if a person comes, clicks around, leaves, and comes back one more time later, it would count as 2 visits. not positive though.

the average visitor last week, clicked 22 pages during the time spent on that one visit.

Jack,
I don't know how they're counted, either, but the fact remains that over twenty THOUSAND people stop by on a daily basis seems pretty amazing to me. When you started this thing, did you ever envision anything like this?
Maybe sometime you could post the story of how and why you started this site. I'm sure it would be interesting reading.

Your the best!

"unique" means each individual who visits the site that given day. if you click 100 times, it still only counts "1" unique visit. at least that's what my own web page counter counts it as, which means there're 20,000+ lurkers at MJ's everyday on average.

I believe Dubbs is correct. That's the way my webcounter is set up. If one individual visits the particular site 25 times a day, it only counts as 1 "UNIQUE" visit. Once a repeat cookie is flagged, it no longer counts as "unique". Hard to believe that roughly 20 thousand DIFFERENT people stop by here......UNBELIEVABLE>..
