The Orlando magic are headed to N.Y. for thier second back to back in 6 days. While this is not unusual for this time of the season it is not beneficial for the magic at this time. I frequent quite a few magic games and I have seen a steady decline in their play over the last three games. They beat a Pretty good Cleveland team (just barely) then were blown out by the Nets and then came back to beat the rockets last night. This is a pathetic rockets team and Orlando was in danger of losing to this team most of the game. The only thing that pulled them out was T-MAC. The magic look tired and disinterested at times and have been criticized for not putting teams away when they have the chance. The truth of the matter is the magic are not good enough to put teams away. Usually the teams that the magic beat by large margins are teams that put themselves away with turnovers and poor shooting. On offense the only true threat they have is T-Mac. There are some shining moments with Williams,Hudson,Armstrong,Garritty and a few salty veterans that make it interesting at times. But with Miller on the bench and teams concentrating on defending Pat Garritty's outside threat the magic become a very one dimensional team that frequently gets one look at the basket on offense and out rebounded and out hustled on the boards. (With Miller healthy this team is much better) On to the Knicks who just wish to forget aqbout this year but are still going to try to make a game of it. The Knicks have been an exceptional 1st half team but have faded terribly in several second halves. They have enough muscle up front with Weatherspoon, Anderson and Harrington to hurt the Magic with second chance opportunities. With Houston healthy the Knicks should really make a game of it.
