Time for my annual advice seeking thread as you guys have always been a huge help. Think we have decided to take in Maine over the MLK weekend for our annual couples trip. The ladies like the idea of the whole Hallmark channel look/feel to go with some shopping and the guys just want good food/nature/historical stuff. Might be nice to send the ladies to the spa while we watch football as well, lol. Any suggestions are welcomed guys! TIA

Bar Harbor is one of the places we were looking. Just not sure if that is to far north or not. Will fly into Boston and drive up. Looks like a neat "Hallmarky" type town.

Beautiful place! Was amazed at how few people "get out" up there. I am sure some of the areas we visited were second or vacation home type towns, but even in Portland there just wasn't much activity. Great seafood and we drove 3 hours north to snowmobile in Millinocket @ NEOC. Went to "The Cliff house" on the way up from Boston. Awesome views! Had the best pork chop I have ever eaten at Ottos on the river in Augusta. We had a great trip. Would suggest for anyone that enjoys getting away from the normal hustle most of us live in. A huge thanks to sportsaholic and his daughter for all the info provided!
