2009 GRAND SLAM GOLF POOL
Welcome back for our 5th Annual Grand Slam Golf Pool. Please see all the rules and information below.
For every major championship (4 in all), each person picks 6 golfers to represent their team.
The lowest four scores out of those 6 golfers count for your total score for that individual tournament. Please note I DO NOT need all 24 of your golfers PRIOR TO the Masters some people have sent that to me in the past.
If all 6 of your players make the cut or if 5 of your players make the cut, then you use the four lowest scores.
If only 4 of your players make the cut, then you have to use those 4 scores.
If only 3 of your players make the cut, then you have to use the score of the last place golfer at the end of the tournament to add to your other 3.
If only 2 of your players make the cut, then you have to use the scores of the worst two golfers at the end of the tournament to add to your other 2.
If only 1 of your players make the cut, etc...

PLS NOTE THE MDF RULE IS NOT APPLICABLE AT ANY OF THE MAJORS!!!
For your team, you can choose any player that is eligible for that specific major championship.
However, you can only use each player once.......so if you choose Tiger Woods for the Masters, you cannot choose him as one of your players for any of the remaining majors.
There will be a winner for each individual major as well as overall prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th All ties will simply result in a SPLIT of the prize $$$ (individual tourney winner or overall ties at the end)
The entrance fee for this pool is $200 ($50 per major) to be paid by check made out to myself NO LATER THAN April 7, 2009 sent to my address below. Please also include the email address you would like used for pool. There will be no exceptions to this: My address and contact info is below. Please send your picks to me.
Picks for ALL majors must be sent either to me or via email no later than 12 MIDNIGHT Thursday morning BEFORE each major begins. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED THIS YEAR AS KENNY AND I WILL NOT BE CHASING PEOPLE FOR PICKS ON THURSDAY MORNINGS!!! Each participant should provide an email address which they would like ALL spreadsheets with picks, results, etc sent to. ALL picks should be submitted via email so there are no discrepancies or problems. Spreadsheets with ALL picks are sent out Thursday morning of each major with results sent Monday after tourney ends.
Be advised we had 56 people in this pool last year. With everything going on in the world I do not know where we will be this year. If you have enjoyed this in the past and want to do it worst case get a partner and cut your cost in half. (Payouts will be adjusted based on total # of entries this season)
Example: Tourney w/ 56 people at 200 points per person from last season..
Masters Winner: 600 300 second
US Open winner: 600 300 second
British Open winner: 600 300 second
PGA winner: 600 300 second
Grand Slam winner: 4000
2nd place: 2000
3rd place: 1000
4th place : 600
Total Points 11,200
