Yesterday's Brutal Recap:
1-3 -4.19 Units
Overall Second Half (July 1st & After)
21-17-1 +10.36 Units

Three plays today.... Two totals and one side so far......

Bos Red Sox Vs. Mtl. Expos Over 9 1/2 -107
Risking 2.14 Units to win 2.00 Units

Just about every variable in this game points to quite a few runs being scored. First the cycle of the Red Sox bullpen looks to be the Pichardo and Pulsipher night. Garces, Beck, and Lowe all pitched yesterday. Ohka has struggled since going back into the rotation. July ERA of 10.80, in May it was 8.22; overall hitters are whacking him at .346 on the road. On the otherside Munoz is making his first start of the season and had mediocre stats this year in the minors.

LA Dodgers Vs. Pitt Pirates Over 9 -120
Risking 2.40 Units to win 2.00 Units

OK, I am glutton for punishment and will try this again. I had the over yesterday and even with Brown going out in the fifth the Pirates couldn't hit a depleted bullpen. But, today is a new day. Gagne has been very mediocre this year and has absolutely no pen to back him up, so if he has nothing he still has to eat those innings. Dodgers hit lefties really well and Beimel hasn't even qualified as mediocre. Pirates bullpen is below average as well with a team ERA in the mid fours.

NY Yankees -110 Phil Phillies
Risking 2.20 Units to win 2.00 Units

Another glutton for punishment pick. The Yanks bullpen cycle looks as if we will be getting Stanton and Rivera this evening when the pen comes into play. While the Phils look to be sending in the Vosberg, Telemaco, and Santiago types. For me the bottom line is that the Yanks at -110 was to juicy to pass up in this contest with Randy Wolf on the mound.

Good luck everyone and slam your man,
HC
