Yesterday's Brutal Recap:
1-5 -9.14 Units

Overall Second Half (July 1st & After)
35-31-1 +8.27 Units

I am just happy that Allnet didn't add me to his terrible six list to make it a crappy seven.

Will be back in a smidge...... Here is to a better day.

Cin Reds Vs. Atl Braves Under 9 1/2 -107
Risking 3.00 Units to Win 2.80 Units

The number is just too high in this one to resist. Millwood looked strong in his first outing since coming off the DL. Jose Acevedo had a ruff outing last time, but only threw 53 pitches so he should be ready to roll. The main reason though that I believe this game will go under the total is the bullpens should be able to hold their own if called upon. Graves got the day off yesterday and will be ready to roll and the other key component in that Reds bullpen, Sullivan, is able to pitch as well. The Braves bullpen is solid as shown by their 3.62 ERA at home. Atlanta hasn't hit well this season as their .252 home average attests to, when you look at their lineup the only two guys that really scare you are Chipper and Brian Jordan. Andruw Jones is having a down year and Javy Lopez is day to day with a back injury. Manager Bob Boone rested Pokey Reese last night and is on record as saying he will try to get some of his others starters rest this week as well. Finally, home plate ump Brian Gorman as a great under record as his games where he has been behind the plate has played to the under 13 out of 18 times.

Thanks for the info IE!!!!!
Man you look at those two lineups on their own, and I would definitely think the Reds would be the team in first!!! I guess that shows what pitching will do for ya....

Happy- Great job with the writeups. Not disagreeing with your play...just wondering how you considered Millwood looking "strong" in his last outing. Only went 5IP..3ER isn't terrible (not very good either), but allowed 7 hits and 3 walks, not to mention threw 105 pitches.

Hoops,
I meant that while on the mound he looked confident being back on a major league hill. While the results weren't spectauclar by any means, pyschologically he looked like he was comfortable being out there again. I really look for improvement today in the second start. If memory serves me right the defense behind him that night let him down a couple times as well......... I probably should have used the word confident instead of strong..........

Good luck my man,

Thanks. I didn't see any of his previous game (only going by numbers), so that's why I posed the question. Appreciate the response.

Best of luck.
