“We had a double-header on and one of the sailfish was 30 feet from the boat when all of a sudden a mako skyrocketed out of the water, about 25 feet in the air,” Ross said.

You dont plate a saltating saltwater supershark. That fooker belongs at Sea World.

25 feet?

Ok, Pecos Ross.

I talked with a Capt that was in the area and the Marina owner...it was a 30 foot Tuna Tower & a 25 foot first jump by a very hungry shark. 200 yards off a dive site.....:scared

Everybody had Mako Shark steaks that night!

B2DAB.
I really have no problem with dead sharks personally but I do realize that they have a very necessary role in the food chain and hate to see any animal slaughtered for what I call unnecessary meat. Now before you think I am bashing anyone I am simply asking this

What are your feelings on harvesting a shark that was quite obviously overfished in that area once in the past already and now that they are on the cusp of a comeback do you not think that there should be some sort of limitations set on the harvesting of such a rare creature to the area?
