Inside scoop is he's going to go into coaching after taking a yr off. I'll see him in Orlando first week of April, at our conference for Papa. I'm sure he'll enlighten us with more info then.

In most cases you are correct, in his case whatever he does after football he will be very successful, I was hoping he would be in the booth on Sundays

Manning drawing interest from at least 3 TV networks

This is getting interesting. Fox Sports confirmed Monday that it is also interested in talking to Peyton Manning if he wants to go into broadcasting.

That makes three NFL partner networks that have publicly confirmed they're open to hiring the retiring Denver Broncos QB.

Both ESPN and the NFL Network previously told Sporting News they're interested in Manning, who officially announced his retirement Monday after 18 NFL seasons and two Super Bowl titles with the Broncos and Indianapolis Colts.
"If he decides to pursue a career as a commentator, we would certainly be open to exploring that possibility with him," ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said.
NFL Network's Alex Riethmiller previously said the league's 24/7 network "is always interested in former players who are looking to enter the media business when they step away from the game."
Fox would be an interesting landing spot for the 39-year old Manning.
The network can offer him a role on the top-ranked pregame show, "Fox NFL Sunday."
Don't forget that former New York Giants star Michael Strahan walked straight from his Super Bowl-winning season right onto the set of "Fox NFL Sunday" with Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Curt Menefee and Jay Glazer.
Or Fox can send Manning on the road and have him analyze games from the broadcast booth. Fox's NFL game telecasts averaged 20.745 million viewers. That was the second-highest ever behind 21.2 million average viewers in 2013.
During his goodbye press conference Monday, Manning jokingly recalled his early Colts teams weren't competitive enough to have their games called by the legendary duo of John Madden and the late Pat Summerall.

Maybe Manning wants to put his obsessive preparation and film study to work in another direction ? and become the next great NFL color analyst.
I doubt Fox would tamper with its top announce team of Troy Aikman, Joe Buck and Erin Andrews. But I could see Manning pairing with one of Fox's other top play-by-play announcers such as Kevin Burkhardt, Kenny Albert or Thom Brennaman to form a new No. 2 announce team.
Burkhardt, John Lynch and Pam Oliver made up Fox's No. 2 announce team during the 2015 season. Albert, Daryl Johnston and Laura Okmin were the network's No. 3 team.
Meanwhile, NBC Sports and CBS Sports will share the "Thursday Night Football" package next season, with each network broadcasting five games apiece. The prospect of seeing if Manning is as good on TV as everybody seems to think he'll be would be intriguing to TV viewers.
NBC was non-committal on Manning.
"This is a time to congratulate him and celebrate everything that Peyton brought to NFL fans over his 18-year Hall of Fame career. We can discuss his future at a later time," said a spokesman.
But Madison Avenue likes stars. Manning's currently the most marketable player in the NFL, drawing $12 million a year in endorsement dollars from sponsors such as Gatorade, Nationwide, Papa John's and DirecTV. You can bet the league's sponsors and advertisers would also like to see Manning in front of the camera.
Then again the days are ending when retired superstars need to go into TV to find a new income. Manning earned $249 million over his career, according to spotrac.com, which tracks player salaries. That's more than any NFL player in history.
With that kind of money, I can see Manning becoming part of an ownership group that buys a professional sports team.
Or maybe he follows the example of the Broncos' John Elway and moves into the front office. Elway won two Super Bowls on the field before leading his old team to another Lombardi Trophy this year as General Manager.
