before you guys start betting on it, ive found threads in another forum where cintron's old coaching team came and posted about kermit's training habits and lifestyle, and how he got completely sidetracked by a woman and didnt train at all for the first margo fight. he is apparently a slacker in sparring and generally vulnerable and lacking confidence.

obviously biased, his old coaches think he has regressed with steward.

id be cautious with this fight. my early thought is no play, lean to margarito. margo probably opens -150?

let me dig up those threads and post them here, you guys can use that information to make your own judgement.

I'll be very surprised to see margo @-150. He basically beat the living sht out of cintron the 1st go. Cintron will have to stop Margo to win this and Margo can take a hell of a punch. Even if he was out of shape and all that, he really didn't show anything in the early going that he could deal with Margo. If Feliciano could test Kermit then I believe Margo repeats and stops him again in about 8 rounds. I could be wrong but I'd make Margo about a -300 favorite.

I had about 1500 on Margo over Zab. I knew that thug would back out.

I think the public will back Cintron as the dog, so the books can get away with skewing the line. I?d personally cap about ?225, but you?re right, -150 is too optimistic.

Based on their logic: Margo is older and lost to Williams, looked slower, Cintron has been calling out Marg, has Steward in this corner (the public overrates Steward), looked great vs Matthyse, great power in both hands, solid straight punches. If they buy his hand excuse vs Feliciano, I can see a lot of people backing him. Cintron is also the sexier pick to those just looking for action and going by fanboards and highlight reels.

Margarito is a slow starter, cintron is fast starter. I?ll have to rewatch Williams-Margo but I think Williams? jab worked nicely, and Steward is known to train his guys to focus on multiple jabs and follow up with straight right hands. Ill have to see how Marg responded to that vs Williams.

Cintron has the phsycial talent to do it, but he?s generally an unreliable fighter. There is a personal grudge to this, maybe hes determined and trains his ass off for redemption. I hesitate to bet only because of the personal importance of this fight.

And ya Zab is a thug no question, he priced himself out. I don?t mind having my small zab+330 bet cancelled, but I really liked the over 8.5 +110. Your Marg bet at -300 was really good as well.

Margarito is still the better of these two. He will go balls to the wall to show he is still a force to deal with, and to redeem himself after losing to Williams. Cintron has gotten better, but a determined Margarito in top shape should prevail here. I hope to see a nice INSIDE the distance prop. I don't see how this one will go to the cards. I make Margarito a -275 chalk.
