Fired today by Golden State............What a joke!!!!!!!! Take your team to the playoffs 2 straight years, actually win a playoff series vs Denver, eliminated by the Spurs and this year eliminated in a 7 game series vs a more talented Clipper team..........Makes no sense

I guess everyone has their own opinion but him making the playoffs doesn't have much to do with it to me. He SHOULD make the playoffs with the talent he has on that team so them making it doesn't carry that much weight with me. I don't like the offense he runs with the shooters he has. He ask Curry to create his shot off the dribble way too often and there isn't much flow to his offense as a whole. That offense should be a nightmare to stop as a team but it's not. You really just have to concentrate on the ball and the pick and rolls.

I'm pretty sure the upper management thought he was a good leader for the team but he wasn't willing to listen to anyone else on the Xs and Os and wouldn't allow them to bring any guys considered really good at them.

Of course I could be wrong.

As a dubs fan I can say that this was right move. He was an awful tactical coach who got schooled late in games. He was awful with lineups and never seemed prepared.

I don't buy the playoff thing as we now have an owner that will spend money and a good roster.

Name me the last "motivational speaker" coach to win in nba? No spo, Carlisle, pop, Phil....even Doc understands the X's and O's. It was the right move. Media is tight with mjax so they are standing up for him

All the coaches you named have more talent than Golden State........Spo has James, Wade, Bosh.......Carlisle has Nowitzki and a team that blitzed Miami from the 3 point line, Pop has Duncan, Parker, Ginobli and David Robinson back in the day and we all know who Phil had on his teams that won championships.......Golden State has Stephen Curry and some good players in Thompson, Lee, and Iguadola but not a championship caliber team to beat the Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, etc.... in the West......To win a championship in the NBA you need 2 or 3 NBA Hall of Fame type players to do that.........Outside of Dallas winning it a couple of years ago that is the criteria.......

Same thing happened to Vinny Del Negro, the coach doesn't run the team, he may draw up x's and o's, but the chemistry and kissing a players' ass is needed in order to keep their job, plain and simple. Other than Thibs and Pop, name another coach who has tenure of more than 10 years in the NBA? It ain't happening with the power players have these days, you have to have a special talent to get along with the players besides draw up the x's and o's, you have to get player by in and be able to communicate with them and in this day and age, you have to speak their lingo and you have no job!!

Spoelstra is only protected because of one other person and that name is REILLY!!

Later!!

MJ will land on his feet again, perhaps in Indiana or Minnesota.

Frank Vogel will be the scapegoat for the Pacers...........It is not his fault Hibbert plays 18 minutes last night, gets ZERO PTS and REBOUNDS, Sign a cancer named Andrew Bynum, trade Danny Granger for Evan Turner midseason:facepalm:......Lets see if the new coach for Golden State can get this team to the second round or to the Western Conference Finals..........My guess is a NO.......

Carlisle won his chip with one star and a supporting cast of equal talent to dubs. I dont think dubs have the roster to win a chip today but I also think that they should be better than a 6th seed based on current talent.

It is really frustrating to watch Mjax get outcoached game after game. Pop used to sit his starting 5 and still beat the dubs just to fuck with Mjax. His "us against the world" mantra is going to wear out pretty damn soon and he doesnt get along with assistants who take a tactical view of the game. I also could never stand his self-righteous preacher BS and how religion played such a big role in somewhat dividing the team. This coming from a guy who banged a stripper

Give me Kerr or SVG and I promise he will exceed Mjax's perfomance

Back to ESPN?
He has a buyout worth a pretty penny, so he won't return to the media coverage, he was contacted by Minnesota shortly after dismissal, also don't rule out after playoffs are done, Indiana with it's crazy Pres "larry fokke bird" willing to bring in a new head.
