The Florida Marlins go for their first win in five games tonight when they play the second of a three-game set at Montreal.

The Marlins are 3-5 under new manager Jack McKeon and 19-27 overall having lost 12 of their last 16 games. Carl Pavano starts for Florida tonight and the right-hander is 3-4, 3.63 ERA overall this season and has allowed just four earned runs thru his last 20 1/3 innings. He has a super-impressive 14 strikeouts to just one walk during this stretch. Pavano has two career starts amongst six appearances against his former team and boasts a 1-0 record with a 2.08 ERA. Florida will once again be without catcher Ivan Rodriguez tonight who is in Puerto Rico due to a family illness.

The Expos have won six of their last eight overall to improve to 28-17 and just three games behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL East. They won the first game of this series 6-4 last night and have now won six of the last eight meetings. They send rookie right-hander Claudio Vargas to the mound tonight and the 25 year-old is 1-1 this season with a 3.29 ERA.

We're forecasting no more than six to eight runs being scored tonight and recommend playing the Under.
