are they saying that marquez learned nothing in fight #2?.....

wouldn`t you think that beristain, one of the game`s great trainers, learned that it`s not the smartest strategy in the world for his guy...the chinnier of the 2...who`s the better boxer, to stand right in front of a guy with bigger power and better whiskers(actually, amazing whiskers),and slower hands and feet?..

i think this is generous odds and rounds-wise...regardless of the prior outcomes...

of course anything can happen...but, i suspect that marquez will be more careful...and the fact that vasquez is a relatively slow starter doesn`t hurt either(with the exception of the last larios fight)....

marquez took a lot of chances in the 2nd after the first stoppage..i think he was overconfident...

i expect him to be much more of a boxer this time around...

That's a coin flip at best but I have to lean the under. Marquez is not Pernell Whittaker and Vazquez will force him to engage early- that's to Izzy's advantage- not sitting back and engaging in a boxing match. Puffiness and scar tissue around Vazquez's eyes is also a concern. Just one slashing punch from the big knuckles of Marquez cuts the eye , and then Izzy will feell pressured to press and end the fight before the cut does.

marquez is not pernell whitaker?...and neither was jhonny gonzales...but,he boxed vasquez ears off for around 8 rounds despite being the guy coming up in weight...

i think marquez is the much better technical fighter.....i think he`s the better fighter,period..vasquez is naturally a little bigger and stronger,though......

one punch can turn it...that`s a fact..just like in the gonzales fight....

we`ll just have to see if his corner makes the adjustments...

but,opinions are what i`m lookin` for...

It will be close at 7.5 rounds. I'd lean over me-self. I have been watching the re-runs of the first two. I usually like round props but I may just bet Vazquez s/u. I am going to CA for this one. 300 freakin mile drive in the RV. I need to win mucho coin just to pay for the ticks and gas!

13 total in first 2, right?
means the avg is just under what we would need here for the Over; certainly attainable;

I think Marquez learned from the 2nd bout,
and am sure Nacho will have him prepped, in body, mind and strategy, to box more,
but, "the best laid plans of mice and men" . . .
once he gets hit Rafael will revert to slugging.
(was ringside, with Frank, when he put Austin through the ropes, gotta love the way this kid fights.)
Still, I like that number and + price.

The over/under is a tough pick and little value IMHO. Vas' eyes were jacked in the 2nd go...i dont think he could have gone 2 more rds. His face was getting a little messy in the 1st go as well. Mar was hurt in the 1st fight but recouped. The 2nd go his face was strting to show effects and he was wobbled at least twice. I think the over/under is a bit like russian roulette here. I would lean towards the over if forced to pick but this one can really go either way. Both fighters have shown they can be stopped.

I may still put a few bucks on the dog. When Mar is boxing, he controls the action. When he trades, he gets in trouble. I have to think Nacho is going to have him boxing boxing boxing in this one. He had Vas looking frustrated as early as the 1st rd and if he sticks to his plan, I see him winning by cuts around 8 or 9.

I would love to see that. I need to watch the fights a few more times. Vazquez is the harder puncher IMO. A smarter fight by Marquez and the dog gets this one perhaps. I don't have a strong opinion here, so I wait and watch.
