She just said Vijay wasn't saying that he thinks its wrong for a woman to play in a mens event. Martha Burk thinks Vijay was saying he doesn't want to get beat by a girl.

Is she smoking crack, there is no way Annika could beat Vijay he wouldn't speak out against it because he was afraid to get beat, because he wouldn't get beat. She's trying to make him look like a wimp when he was just pissed off that they are letting girls play in the mens events.

I just dont think he wanted to deal with the media frenzy. The PC media crowd is rampant in sports. He wasn't afraid about getting beat. Least of his concerns. Annika is nowhere near his league.

I know she's not gonna win...but "what if" she does. what will that do to our feelings about women on tour with the rest of the best?

To me golf is WAY different than any other sport. It is a individual effort, like bowling, or chess.

Then media can't be the problem, you said it yourself...It has to be something else.

If you're gonna make excuses for the guy, how about coming up with something else. Maybe he just dosen't want anymore money this year, or his big toe is hurt, or maybe a blister on his ring finger.

Yeah. I would HIGHLY doubt he'd lose to her. 1 in 100. But what if? that's the thing. I think he's a chump for talking shit and not playing and he's not playing because of "WHAT IF".

Oh the media will be a hassle for him all right. But even still, that's a bed he made. He should have the stones to lie in it.
