Trying these early,

Jeff Gordon 7-1
Bobby Labonte 31-1 sia

Gordon 7 time winner, swept both races last year.Odds on Jeff were 5-1 when he started 15 last year in the October.Gordon is the boss when it comes to Martinsville.I got to take a shot at this price.

Bobby Labonte is a nice long shot.Really seems to have things turned around, finshed 5th at Bristol had a strong car at Atlanta.Finished 4th here last October, had a win here in 2002.Bobby knows how to save his brakes until late in the race and thats always the key at Martinsville.

I like the price on Tony Stewart at 10-1.He led the most laps in both of last years races here. But after watching the Bristol race it seems like he is in points mode.He moved up 3 positions and is only 8 points in the top 10.I look for more of the same for him this weekend.

Thanks toast, you know how these races go.For three or four weeks you might look like a hero and when the shit hits the fan you look like you don`t have no idea what your talking about.

This forum has done excellent so far this year and its early,I`m just glad to be apart of it. Let keep it rolling!

BTW forgot to mention Bobby Labonte also won the Truck race here last spring.

Here`s another something,

In 1999 Spring Truck Race Jimmy Hensley won with Petty Enterprise.(I was there).
The next day who won the Nascar race? John Andretti with Petty Enterprise. Coincidence? Well maybe! But probably not.

Okay, I apologize for my ignorance, but who is driving the Petty Enterprise car? Jeff Gordon, Bobby Labonte, or Tony Stewart??

Thanks fellas.

adding another longshot

Denny Hamlin 40-1 sia

Started 5 and finished 8th in the fall here last year. He`s also bringing back the same car, so there`s alot of value here.

Labonte looked strong in the first practice. Riggs did well too.

Its been too long since a longshot won a race. They are way over due.

I`m not giving up on Hamlin yet, even tho he starts 41st.Looking strong so far in this first practice. Feel like theres a longshot that will win this race, maybe he will show up today in one of these practices.

I watched qualifing yesterday and some of the truck practice. Its hard to tell who has the strongest truck watching from the stands.Mark Martin truck stayed on pit road with the hood up and Todd Bodine ran a few laps but did`nt look that strong. One truck that I kept watching was the 10 truck of Terry Cook.He was able to keep the truck tied to the bottom and was real smooth.I played a win bet at 36-1. You never can tell at this track, pit stop strategy can make the difference in the race.

adding another longshot ,

Brian Vickers 60-1 at sirbet.

I`m not real crazy about this one. It`s purely a value play here.
Not bad to have a Rick Hendrick car at this price. Showed the fastest lap but was 28th in fastest average speed.

Them tires really held up nicely in the trucks today. hmmm. Could be a crew chief call tomorrow.
