At last...some proper golf betting opportunites!

Looks like we migh thave to start applying the pressure on a few more as we can no longer count on Simon Bold...Stan James haven't priced up either.

Looks very competitive at the top of the market, but for me it's:

Bob the Gilder 20/1, who apparently spent some of his holidays on the course!
Ironman Quigley, who can be backed at 50/1 with Sean Graham,
and Jim Thorpe at 25

Having said that, I've also taken 16 Doyle with Sean Graham as that is too big; Betsmart will lay it to the first person that gets there!!

Sean Graham report that they have had some 'technical' problems with the creation of their on-line service, and were unable to say when it would be launched....

Sheeeh Stopped by Surrey to see what they would have Lietzke at,a whopping 9/2 with the 1st 5 players @ single digits odds. Doyle was sure a place cash cow but his win/event 1 in 16 sure was not impressive.Am leaning to Nelson at a1/5.6 ratio but at 8/1 odds will prob pass as a place would just break even.

Allen Doyle to win 16/1 e.w. @ BetSmart or Stan James [0.5 units]
Can find him at half those odds at Surrey Sports and that is a better reflection of the Tour's player of the year last year. With 25 top-10 finishes from 34 starts last year, he will be an automatic selection for some time to come at these odds.

Doug Tewell to win 25/1 e.w. @ BetSmart or Stan James [0.5 units]
Finished the 2001 season in great form. Failed to win, but secured top-4 finishes in four of his last five events. Creditable 8th place last year, he should improve on that.

Dana Quigley to win 50/1 e.w. @ William Hill [0.5 units]
Big price for the player who would have put in the most practice over the Christmas break. As a result he usually starts the season very well - top-10 finish in 3 of first 4 events of 2001, in 4 of first 5 events on 2000, the first three events of 1999 and so on. Top-4 finishes on this course in 1999 and 2000, he could be the ideal start to our Senior Tour campaign.

Doyle 5th
Tewell 9th
Quigley 4th

Nice way to start the new season. All three were in contention throughout the tournament and Quigley secured a place win at decent odds.
