Went 3 - 1 in matchups (2 - 0 the week before) really important for me to remain hot to catch Dogs, the weeks are running out . Little disappointing that Geoff and Adam Scott are out as well as Nick O hern.. but its still a legit field. Should be back by tomorrow with 1 or 2 plays

By late December it will be..

Daniel Chopra 18 to 1- 2units: See no reason not to play Chopra here again this week. Finished 7th last week in Hong Kong where he "played better than he scored". Hasn't had too much success here in the past but finished his best last year with a t21. Wiinning the Ginn tournament is huge for streaky player like Chopra. Tons of talent but usually plays poor on Sundays. I like his chances here against an usually poor Australian field. No Scott, Ogilvy, Goggin, O'hern, even Jason Day. Badds is the favorite and he hasn't played in a month. Allenby is in poor form as well.

Marcus Fraser 50 to 1- 1 unit: Not too familiar with Fraser but his name pops up on European Tour leaderboards a lot but then falls off come the weekend. Showed some consistency last week finishing tied for seventh place. Also had a t7 at Madrid. Last year he was tied for eight going into the final round where he shot 79 to finish in 32nd place. But the next week he finished 2nd in the New Zealand Open. In this weak field 50 to 1 is nice.

The tournament suffered a huge blow yesterday with the withdrawal of its leading European player, Thomas Bjorn.

Bjorn left Australia to return to his sick wife in Denmark. Pernilla Bjorn has a severe back complaint which has become critical.

Bjorn, the world No. 98, was the only European in the world's top 100 who had travelled to Australia for the tournament.

He showed some guts making some nice putts to extend but came up short. Hate seeing a 3-putt to lose a tournament. I see Chopra being a multiple winner on tour next season. Funny what that first win can do for a player. No shame in losing in australia to badds though

Honorable mention to David Horsey, a young talented englishman who I backed in his first pro event in May this year - great tournament, twice the lowest round.

Ridle,

I see Horsey is in the filed this week. Two very impressive rounds last week. Do you believe he can win this week? 50 to 1 is tempting but he's quite young and inexperienced. Has he won many amateur events?

I won't back him at those odds that's sure - might do well but he is not a talent of the century so to speak.
