If you got to play a 10 ball scramble in tournament conditions, by yourself, what would your score be to par after 1 round? No practice rounds. Ideal conditions.

It's an interesting idea.

I can hit a small bucket into the woods sometimes so it may or may not help on any given shot and I'm sure it wouldn't help on every "shot". I don't think there are many putts I couldn't make with 10 tries at it other than the really, REALLY long ones so that would level out the lack of accuracy off the tee.

You have to factor in how tired you would be swinging that many times as well, but since this is hypothetical we'll say that wouldn't be a factor so I think I would shoot no worse than 85 with a real shot at going below 80.

I shot 79 playing one ball from the members tees,,,I used to be a scratch golfer,,time has changed that,,Buddy of mine played with me was a golfer at Alabama at the time,,Shot 75,,My only bird was at number 2,,NOW,,The members tees are WAY easier than pros,,,The course is wide open,,its the greens,,,,,They weren't fast when i played,,Only about a 12!!First hole I split the middle between the bunkers and almost started crying,,Caddie said the flag is left but don't miss it left,,I sad ok,,He said don't miss it right either,,impossible up and down,,I said dude,,If i knew where I was going to miss it id be on the tour!:0074

Penguinfan hit on an important factor. Ten swings would wear my ass out so I'd probably try to get a "good enough" drive out there and save my swings for the long approaches.....which would still leave me tiring out.

Par 4's - I would like to think I could keep it around par if I could get a 2nd shot in a decent position to chip from or get lucky enough to put one on in two. 10 putts with the ability to take the best one if you don't make is going to help, but I can still see leaving some bogeys out there.

Par 5's - Should be able to go under par with this many chances, but I'd say -2 because the greens are still going to be tough with 10 chances at birdie.

Par 3's - These scare me. The first one is 240, so I would have to choke down on a fucking driver and hope to get lucky, which is not going to happen. This is the only hole I think I easily bring double bogey into play. The others seem doable with 10 iron shots and ideal conditions.

My guess is I am capable of keeping it around even par if I conserve swings away from the green.

Maybe from the member tees. I don't know about 7400 yards.

Shot 14 under twice in a 2 ball scramble

No doubt would birdie or better all four of the par 5s with just 3 balls so I am thinking 64-66

but there is no way you finish the front side hitting 10 balls a shot :mj07:

So. Cal
10 shots at every shot?

I know Augusta is tough and the greens are fast, blah blah blah

If you're a 9 like me, I see no reason why you wouldn't shoot under par fairly easily....esp from the member tees.

Hell....no matter how fast tje greens are you could lag 5 putts and go for it the other five times
