Golf 2007:

WCG Accenture Match Play +27.5 units

Masters week is great, isn't it? watched 2 hours on the golf channel today @ '86, favorite Bear shot is on 16 - as if he was trying to MAKE the shot

Anyway, on to this year - playing a few smaller and one large

Choi +125 vs Immelman

Instead of looking at Trevor's t6 in '05, I look at the 2 mc's that surround it / Choi seems to really feel comfortable at Augusta, including 3rd outright in '04

Oberholser -110 vs Appleby

Stuart might be a little bit weary mentally after the battle with Scott lw / Ob obviously liked the track ly with his t14 / scrambling advantage goes to Arron as well

Howell III -150 vs Toms

Don't think David will be around for the weekend / despite CH III's pitiful performance ly (164 - mc) think this is a diff player / think he'll realize he needs to put less pressure on himself and just go out and play / Tom's has had a couple of decent performances in previous Masters, but all the lengthening has basically rendered him a non-factor / hasn't made the cut since '03

4 units each

One matchup that caught my eye initially and I keep going back to it / Robert Allenby has had a phenomenal year, 6 top 10's already, but none of those came at The Masters / Allenby is a great ball striker and a very solid player, but at Augusta the cream has a tendency to rise to the top, and Geoff Ogilvy is one of the classiest players in the world / Allenby put up a respectable t22 ly, but has had an otherwise lackluster Masters career / Ogilvy has only played once, but put up a t16 in his first go-round / GO talks about how he would wake up early as a child in Australia to watch the tourney, so he obviously understands the importance / conditions will be tough and I believe that again favors the players who are truly the "best of the best", and Ogilvy fits directly into that category / hate to lay the juice but doesn't matter if you don't lose

10 units Geoff Ogilvy -130 vs Allenby

Almost forgot one:

4 units Els -120 vs Singh

Might have a death wish betting against VJ at Augusta (5 strt top 8's after a t18 and a win) but have a feeling The Big Easy is going to have a big week

Sorry for the late posts but just finally able to get everything together

Gl all this week, hopefully back with more

Burns are you going to do any prop bets for the masters?

heres some that I like.

for what its worth

Winning Score- Over 280.5 (+110)

conditions are suppose to be a little windy tomorrow making the greens firm. and with no rain in the forecast the greens wont get much softer. Also the course is super long. A friend of mine is on the Clemson golf team and played there a little over a month ago and he can hit it pretty far and still had 5 wood into number 1 and 3wood into 11 into the wind. I believe birdies can be made out there but so can alot of bogeys. 7 or 8 under would be a great score for 4 days.

Colin Montey Will he make the Cut? NOPE (+115)

This is the best bet on the board IMO. He doesnt play this course well. He missed the cut last year, didnt play in 05, missed cut in 04, 03, made the cut in 02 but shot 75 first day and they have lengthend the course since then....

36 hole cut line OVER 148.5

only 2 out of the last 7 years has the cut been below 149. also for the reasons above is why this cut line will be either 149 or 150, maybe higher more:shrug:

Thats all I got.. Good Luck on your Masters plays.

Ill be watching live at amen corner online tomorrow all day!!!!!:00hour :00hour or at least until it comes on TV at 4pm ET (what a joke) it needs to be on for 8 hours a day:shrug:

Hey Sleasy,

Not playing any props, due to the recent problems regarding many sportsbooks pretty much relegated to my local right now (as you can probably tell by some of my lines) and his site doesn't offer any / like the plays though, all indications I get make it seem that scoring well will be tough

As far as Monty, his record at Augusta is certainly subpar of late, but he happens to be paired in a matchup against the softest player in all of golf, "No" Love III / not enough there to warrant a play on Monty or anything, but every time I see someone paired against Davis in a big tourney I tend to think that person may fare well b/c of how much I think III sucks / just my opinion and doesn't make a whole lot of sense but that is my reality

GL with all of your plays / you too abc

Friday's 2nd round matchups:

2 units Howell III -130 vs Rose

Rose hit 5 greens Thursday and got around in 20 putts

2 units Oberholser +120 vs Immelman

Line move vs Choi apparently was a result of Immelman being sick on Wed / didn't really bother him today, let's see if he wears down a bit in round 2

Also playing:

5 units Tiger to win +160

This course doesn't grind Tiger into pieces like most others / like his chances against anyone in front of him at this point

Bumping CH III up to 5 units against Rose / really like the fact they are playing together

Looks like if Ogilvy can simply finish the round the big one will be in - good thing as a lot of the other ones don't look so hot

GL and happy viewing - LA Burns

So far / 2-3 -0.9 units / not the type of performance I was looking for......anyway,

Still pending:

5 units
Tiger +160

4 units
Choi +125 vs Immelman
Oberholser -110 vs Appleby
Howell III -150 vs Toms

2 units
Karlsson +125 vs Johnson
Oberholser -150 vs Westwood
Ogilvy +2800

Adding:

3rd round matchups -

Furyk -125 vs Harrington
Mickelson E vs Singh

4 units each

Pressed Tiger a little bit at +275, still think this is his tourney to win or lose / Ogilvy in the running as well / shaping up to be another very interesting day

Congrats Sleazy - Happy Easter all

One play today - 10 units

Sabbatini +105 vs Johnson

Like Rory's pairing with Lefty and the fact that he's going out a couple of groups ahead / think the extra 20 yards off the tee will be a major factor for Sabbatini today too

GL all and sorry late - just pulled the trigger

Last matchup pushes as Johnson takes home the green jacket (still sounds weird) / had nightmares last night of Rory's lip outs on 9 and 16 and Zach's chip-in on 8 in round 4

Finished the tourney at a deplorable level of -19.3 units
