Group of 4 played a squares game this past weekend on all 4 games just to have something on them. One of them is the "lucky" guy and we were laughing beforehand about how we knew who would win. Well he won 9 of the 16 quarters, but worse one guy(not me) didnt win a single quarter 0/16. Now obviously the numbers you have dictate odds on these things, but can someone run a dirty calculation on the probability of going 0/16? TIA

UGA,

Prior to any numbers being drawn, you can assume your chance of winning any quarter is 1/4 (.25) and losing any quarter is 3/4 (.75). If that assumption is wrong, then I dont understand the game.

The probability of losing 16 straight quarters is (3/4) raised to the 16th power....which is approx .01 or 1 in 100.

I'll take a guess that you and the other guy won 3,4, or 5?
