That is a bad idea, barring a horrific draw Medvedev will make QF's at least. Clay is the dumbest surface to play on, it should be outlawed, just the dumbest most bullshit playing surface out there, fuck that shit surface.x07:
Medvedev feels the same way I do about stupid fucking shit Red Clay, but he's learned to put up with it, so yeah, I think he'll make the QF's.
everything i know about medvedev on clay, i learned in the last 2-3 days. so i could absolutely be wrong. but doesn't he have a shitty record on clay? i think it was the italian open, they said he'd never even gotten past the first round. i guess i should do a LITTLE more research and check he record at roland garros. but from what they were saying... he hasn't really ever learned to slide on clay. which, obviously, is kinda an important skill. the only reason he played well in rome this year was because all the rain slowed the clay down so much that sliding didn't really play a role.
ok, just checked... first round loss his first 4 tries at roland garros. then he made the quarters 2 years ago and the 4th round last year.
guess i should take the time to see how he did in early rounds the last 2 years. is he crushing inferior opponents, or is he just getting by? still could be value in betting against him early, even if he wins.
i played hanfmann v bellucci under 19.5 games. thinking hanfmann should roll.
