Note: kegray is very very unhappy with rankings....Kimbo nowhere to be seen.

An obvious oversight:mj07:

And for what it's worth here are mine:

1. Georges St. Pierre
2. Anderson Silva
3. Fedor Emelianenko
4. Miguel Torres
5. Hatsu Hioki
6. Lyoto Machida
7. Quinton Jackson
8. BJ Penn
9. Gegard Mousasi
10. Rashad Evans
11. John Fitch
12. Frank Mir

Kimbo has moved onto boxing where real fighters go to make a living.
Also, these rankings are opinionated so I put no stock in them dissing Kimbo.
So people just don't see the big picture.

I would have Mousasi at 7 or better by the way.

And Mir at 12 and no Brock?? Not saying Brock should be in here, but he is a -270 favorite vs Mir???
Not even saying Brock will win,but those odds seem strange to me in that fight.

I think Fedor is deserving to be on top of the heap in the Sherdog rankings. I also think that Silva deserves his spot since he has been such a dominant champion.

The one that I just don't get is GSP. 2 years ago, he tapped to punches to Matt Serra. Yes, he's one of the best MMA fighters, bt no way in hell can I rank him ahead of Machida....who hasn't lost a single round in the UFC.

Well gmroz I knew that was coming......but to me GSP is #1 (the competition he's fought and the way he beats guys is just incredible) and I know you are pissed but I have Lyoto at 6. But hey your boy is getting some big time respect now....ya got to be happy. To me I just couldn't put your boy above Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, Fedor Emelianenko, Miguel Torres or Hatsu Hioki. A lot of damn good MMA fighters out there, hard to put him in top 5. No way he should be above Fedor, Anderson or GSP, but maybe ahead of Hioki or Torres. But to me Hatsu and Torres are just so impressive it is tough to put Lyoto there. But hey, you gotta be happy that's he's Top 5 now (in most polls). Gmrozz gotta be happy camper:SIB

Bottom line, Lyoto has a long way to go to crack top 3, but within his division I am not sure who is going to beat him:shrug: I think he'll beat Rua easily, but that's not going to move him up, Rua is nowhere near top 10 p for p in my mind. In fact I don't even think Rua is top 10 in his division.

somebody pull up this hioki`s record,please...

has this guy fought anybody?...i keep seeing his name pop up on here and i have no idea who he`s beaten...

edit...he`s beaten jeff curran and mark hominick?....and he`s a top ten pfp guy?...

imo,top 10 pfp should be based on accomplishment, not expectation...

What a suprise Kickserv thinks GSP is #1 and gmroz22 thinks Machida should be higher. What is next, the sun coming up tomorrow.

And Kick as for Shogun not being Top 10 in his division. Come on you are better than this. :nono: Although I do see some guys that should be ahead of him right now as well even though most rankings I see have 3 behind Machida and Rampage. After Machida #1, it is a divsion of preference at this point. (Rampage,Rua,Evans,Nog,Griffin,Cane) any of those 2-7 however you want to rank them.
Next group (Frankiln,Silva,Babalu,Jardine,Jones). I don't see one guy much less 4 in this group that would push him out of top 10.
And since Mousasi says he can no longer make 185 then I would put him VERY CLOSE to Machida.

Too high for Hioki. He has looked like a man amongst boys(if that is possible at 140lbs) his last two Sengoku fights. No competition as of yet to earn that but he is damn good.

And yes I am aware that Babalu submitted him years ago,but body of work for Shogun is way better and he has fought tougher guys recently than Babalu.
I mean who do you want Shogun to beat?? He beat Rampage, destroyed Overeem twice, beat Nog, Beat Chuck.
His only knock is the way his cardio looked after long layoff vs Griffin and Coleman.
Time will tell if it is his body that has cardio issue or the layoff.

And why am I the only one defending Shogun here.
I don't even really like the guy, but do respect him. Where are Rowdy and Layinwood?? Kickserv, you are in trouble once they see your comment.:mj07:
