on handicapping college games and focus on the pro's. An unbelievable 1-4 today, and all but one of the losses were amazingly tough to take. Maybe I should stop wasting so many hours capping the fuking games and just flip a coin or quit altogether. Check this sheet out:
Wake -2 : Demon Deacons go into halftime up 27-10, are leading by 3-10 points throughout the 2nd half, and lose late. This despite the fact they are at home, and they are a running team, which usually means you have a better shot at holding on to the lead. Look at these freaking stats:
Team Statistics
VIRGINIA WAKE FOREST
First downs 18 29
Rushed-yards 27-49 68-349
Passing yards 349 146
Sacked-yards lost 1-1 1-3
Return yards 15 3
Passes 24-30-0 13-24-0
Punts 4-37.8 5-29.6
Fumbles-lost 3-1 2-0
Penalties-yards 9-65 6-49
Time of possession 24:36 35:24
ARE YOU FCKING KIDDING ME!? Wake dominated every aspect except passing, did not turn the ball over once, commited less penalties, racked up 349 rushing yards, yet lose. Look at the time of possesion! How do they blow a 17-pt lead, when there were no turnovers and when they were running the ball well? How does this happen?? Anybody see this game?
349-to-49 in rushing yards. I lost, yet I dont feel I coulda capped a game better than this one.
-Meantime, UTAH (-9) goes up 23-6 at the half andloses SU because of fumbles and penalties.
-And finally, Akron (+10) goes up 14-0 for a nice 24-point cushion, is winning at the half, and manages to lose by 17.
Sorry , had to vent, sometimes this shit just blows my mind ...
