Unfortunately, for many who play they wouldn't be going "back" to work. Winning the lottery IS their plan.

$3.2 BILLION out of the US economy so 1 person can have $1.6 billion to set on fire. I guess I'll never understand the lottery.

Only 1.6 billion. PLUS, 1.6 billion goes to the government, so that remains in the economy.

The jackpot is 1.6B based on an annuity pay schedule. Lump sum is half of that, because they only took that amount in.

By definition that makes it 50% better (depending how much you trust the gov't with it), but the point (that will be lost on many) remains.

I guess I should have been clearer. I'll never understand people's fascination with the lottery. 50% rake on a game with odds too high for most people to comprehend.

They've been sold a dream a dollar at a time (actually $2 these days) that won't come true.

JuJu Smith-Schuster bought 100-plus Mega Millions tickets this week. As his interview concluded, he said, "I tried to win it so we could get Le'Veon back. It didn't work."

Yet, you continue to blah blah blah in the lottery threads. Seem pretty fascinated to me. You are a closet lottolover. Its a 2 dollar game, dimwit. yeah, we know, you are saving your money for flying Delta instead of Southwest to guarantee a seat.

You have two posts in this thread, both about me. I guess that makes it safe to assume you are more interested in me than the $1.6 billion?

I can understand that, I'm gonna go open up a special bottle of Maddog for the occasion.
