I see a lot of action on the Grizz today... seeing 65-70% consensus on MEM ATS. I just want to point out that PHX has lost twice to the Grizz already this season and is currently sitting in the #8 spot in the West, well aware that OKC and NO are close on their heels. The real key here, and this is a situational handicap more than anything else, is that they are playing at home on triple revenge. Yes, triple revenge. Anybody remember the penultimate game of the season last year when the Grizz outlasted them in a thriller in Phoenix to bump the Suns out of the playoffs? I know I haven't and you can bet that the Suns haven't forgotten that game either. So, for all the talk that Memphis has a vastly superior defense and they are rolling right now (having won 10 of 11), I remind everyone that this run began in Memphis after a double OT victory where the Suns completely collapsed in the 2nd OT and allowed the Grizz to outscore them by 12 in the final extra period. I'm guessing this team has revenge on their mind will come out on top tonight in their final opportunity to beat Memphis this season. Also, who knows if some the Grizzlies players were out enjoying the Super Bowl festivities in Glendale last night... a little hangover effect maybe

One thing's for sure, my money is on the Suns tonight.

Other games worth a look with the revenge angle in mind:

MIL @ TOR... Raps took first two from this series, blowing them out in the first game with the Bucks keeping it tight in the second. This is the final match-up of this three game series.

ATL @ NO... Hard to get in the way of the streaking Hawks here, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the game where their run came to an end. Hawks won the first match-up 91-100, but Pels playing well having beaten some strong competition in the last month (LAC, DAL, TOR, MEM, HOU) and Davis is good to go tonight. Line is unusually low for a game involving a team with a 19 game winning streak.

LAC @ BKN... Clips are in the middle of a brutal road trip (out of town b/c of the Grammys) while the Nets are on a 4 game losing streak. Angle isn't too strong here, but the Nets began their little slide with a loss at LAC on Jan 22, so that should be fresh in their minds.

To me this angle is strongest when it involves teams that are actually competing for the playoffs. That rules out Philly and Minny tonight.

Thanks guys. Looks like the dogs went 3-1 straight up and 4-0 ATS. I had a couple nice RR parlays both ATS and using the MLs, which worked out nicely. Suns really could have pulled that one out though... another heart-breaker for them.

As we move towards the latter part of the season, I'm going to keep an eye out for more games where we can follow this approach of playoff contenders facing each other for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th times in a revenge situation. Tonight we don't have anything that fits the criteria exactly, but I would say that the Kings are worth monitoring as 9.5 point dogs at home to the Warriors having lost 3 of their previous 4 match-ups this season. Last chance for these young cats to show the top dogs in the West that they can hang and something tells me that the Kings haven't forgotten about Klay's 52 point outburst and his record setting 37 point 3rd quarter the last time they met just 11 days ago. No play for me, most likely, but definitely worth keeping an eye on.
