Playing in a Member Guest tournament at Whynlakes this weekend. Tee time tomorrow is 8 a.m..... Houston, we have a problem. My Guest, who is a 4 handicap has to work and will not be there till 9:00 a.m.? I am going solo till then, so my strategy is to take a crap load of time between shots, as I get two shots to cover for my buddy. I hate playing slow, but..... I will take as much time as I can waiting on my partner. Anyone have stall tactics they can provide:shrug:

Take a Dump or two.

Agree with this completely. You can say on the driving range pre-round you are a little queesy in the tummy and make sure playing partners hear you. Then grab a roll of tp from a stall inside the clubhouse, stuff in your bag, and hit the woods on hole 2, 3, etc. and take your time.

Set up people to call you and pretend there is some type of emergency.
Take an extra pair of shoelaces with you and when you hit the second tee retie your shoes that you have previously cut the laces on just enough to break when you pull them tight. By the time you run back to vehicle with shoes off grab laces and return, you still have to lace up the shoe. That's a twenty minute burn right there. Conveniently forget your phone in car. You need it cuz partner is joining you.

Have a temper tantrum.

Do a motivational cheer

We won our flight and then went into a shoot out this afternoon with 16 other teams that won their flights. Sudden death each hole, highest teams was out each hole. This tournament is big with 96 teams, so I was happy we made it to the shoot out. Format was alternate shots, and my partner and I played 10 playoff holes and ended up 2nd place overall. Won 1800 bucks each, a 32" tv and a trophy I will hold on to forever. we played in front of about 250 people in a gallery for the shoot out. The money and tv are secondary compared to the experience. :toast::toast::toast:
