The Memphis Grizzlies get a chance to improve their road record tonight when they travel to LA take on the slumping Clippers.

Memphis have played six of their last eight at home and have used this stretch to gain some much-needed confidence and five SU wins. The Grizzlies have covered their last four overall including a 96-89 loss at Boston when they were 9.5 point dogs.

Meantime the Clippers are in a real funk, having lost six straight and eight of nine SU and ATS. A poor run like this often is the result of, or inevitably causes, poor team chemistry and the Clippers are no exception with coach Alvin Gentry a major target. Forward Elton Brand says "Without a doubt, there's going to be pressure on the coach if the team doesn't win. We're paid as players to produce and unfair as it may seem, when we don't, the fault goes to the coach. But you also have to look at it this way. The coach picks who plays. The coach picks the defense. The coach says what plays to run."

The Clippers are just 5-12-2 ATS at Staples Center this season and there seems little reason for them to be so heavily favored tonight...it's not like they're playing the Nuggets!

The Grizzlies have covered five of the last seven in this series and are 11-6 ATS this season on one days rest.

These teams are quite similar in that they are loaded with young talent...but right now they are heading in contrasting directions.

Tonight we expect a close game and consider getting more than 6 points with the in-form team to offer exceptional value.
