Here is where we stand at this point:
1. We had a deal with a group who had agreed to assume all player balances. We have made statements and promises based on that for a week now.
2. This group has not come over with the money we were promised. Payouts were not done Friday as I had been promised and have not been done yet.
3. This group has now called me and said they are having second thoughts about the deal because of all the negative publicity we have received on posting forums.
4. Since that call, I have tried to reach a number of sportsbook operators to work out a buyout deal with them. I am waiting for return phone calls. I am hopeful that something can be worked out with someone, but I have nothing concrete on the table right now.
5. If nothing positive happens in the next 48 hours, the course of action should be for Camelot to stop taking deposits and wagers, freeze everyone's account balance and I will spend every moment from that point forward trying to locate a buyer in the current sportsbook system. This may take me a day, a week, a month or more, but I will continue to work every day to find a solution to this problem that I and others have caused.
6. Once a solution is found, players will be paid, possibly slowly, but I am making a commitment to seeing this situation through and getting people paid no matter how long it takes. I know that is unacceptable to many, but give us time and we will work through this and find the best solution possible.
7. I realize that it's going to be "open season" on me on these forums for quite some time and I understand and accept my portion of the blame for what has taken place. Please believe me that I have done and continue to do EVERYTHING in my power to find a solution where everyone gets paid and that has been my only concern here. If you don't believe me, check with any sportsbook operator who I have spoken to about a possible deal and they will be glad to tell you that getting people paid has been my ONLY concern here. I also know that many of you will think I am lying about the new owners, but others can confirm that we DID have a deal in place and these guys seemingly pulled the rug out from under our feet. I am trying very, very hard to make the best of this situation, but I truly thought that we had this situation resolved until late last night when I found out that the "new owners" were perhaps not coming through as promised.
