The "truth" of that statement applies to only a few areas of the workplace. There are states where the white population is 90%...so all the busboys, gardeners, dishwashers, etc are from Mexico? The fact they they work in the fields is predicated on generations of family members doing so. The ability to move from place to place is another factor. In California, the menial jobs that were once performed by teenagers have gone to the Mexican men and women. Few teens work today compared to years ago. The population of Hispanics in the U.S. is probably less than 15%. Of that 15% many if not most were born in the U.S. The illegal aliens that are flooding the southwest are finding work below the minimum wage with unscrupulous businessmen. The illegals are also doing the grunt work because they are not eligible for the myriad of social services the U.S. offers its citizens. It is a complicated matter. Funny - perhaps. True - in some cases but exaggerated. Racist - I guess it depends on who you are. You will not find Bush saying anything about this because he has his head so far up Fox's ass that he can't see anything.
