MFC 23 Main Event: Thales Leites vs. Dean Lister :

It has been almost a year since Dean ?The Boogeyman? Lister has been in the cage. He competed at UFC 92 against Yushin Okami losing via a UD. Lister has fought the best of the best including Nate Marquardt, Jeremy Horn and Ricardo Arona. This is a big fight for Lister has he hopes to get back in the UFC. Thales Leites made a sudden plunge following two consecutive losses, one of which was to Anderson Silva. Leites is proof that if a fighter isn?t exciting, he is out. Thales had a record of 5-3 in the UFC?s Octagon and an overall record of 14-3. He is one of the best BJJ practitioners in all of MMA. This should be a very entertaining fight with Leites ground game will be the difference.

Leites via submission 3rd round

SO

Dean Lister Grappling credentials

ADCC World Submission Wrestling Championships

ADCC 2005 Superfight championship: Defeated Jean Jacques Machado.

* Won: Jean Jacques Machado (pts), Iiir Latifi (pts), Nathan Marquardt (pts), Saulo Ribeiro (pts), Marcio 'Pe De Pano' Cruz (pts), Alexandre Ferreira 'Cacareco' (pts) , Masutatsu Yano (sub)
LOL at Leites ground game will be the difference.
If anything Leites is overrated as fk and doesn't win this cuz of his ground game but Lister being washed up . Lister lost 6 MMA fights , all by decison . Leites couldn't sub Sakara in 3 rounds :mj07: :mj07: :142smilie

"the bunker"
lister looks the part...but he`s a one trick pony and it never seems to be enough against better fighters....

he almost seems to have a sparring partner mentality...

Can anybody tell me why Emanuel Newton is almost - 400 favorite ? He is a bum , also gassed in like 3 mins against Prangley . Jimbo will have huge size and reach advantage , he isn't great but can outpoint Newton if he doesn't get subbed .
