Anyone else think that Michigan will win and cover against this joke of a ND team? I don't think they can beat Michigan on fumbles and interceptions for scores.

Notre Dame has had worse teams than this year's squad send better Michigan teams packing with a loss.

Notre Dame is 10-2-1 ATS as a home doggie. Taking the points in this series is 6-0 ATS in the last 10 years. ND has some problems, but Michigan's talent doesn't warrant a 4-point spread on the road. I'm not certain that the Irish is the play, but this game's not going to be as easy as it looks.

You may be right about the spread it looks too easy, but I just can't fathom them winning this way on a regular basis. Holliday is horrific at throwing the ball, Michigan will stop the run. I got it at -3.5 and bought to 3 just in case but I do see a 10 point win for Michigan. JMO

In this case, ND is my play. Not b/c of wazzu but this is what I think most people will say. My feeling is public money will blow up on this game on name alone. MICHIGAN! ONLY FOUR POINTS! WOOT WOOT!

Probably my play here is on ND, though I will wait as I think public money drives this line higher.

Love the IRISH, but gotta take the Wolverines in this one. Just waiting for my off shore to post. Nothing up on SIA, or Sportsbet.com.

No chance that Michy is shut down in the run dept. like the Turtles were, or that ND can run, much less throw against a slightly overated Mich Defense.

Mich plays to a packed house every week, won't be intimidated by the wine and cheese crowd at ND.

This offense needs to get better in hurry though. If the offense lays performs this way next week, Michigan will eat them alive. The Michigan defense is a better than Purdue's and the Irish will need to put the ball in the end zone next week.{taken from uhnd.com}

In the pre-season, it was the general consensus that the defense would have to carry the offense till the offense got itself together. Well the offense has taken that statement to the extreme and they have a week to get themselves together before the top 10 ranked Wolverines invade South Bend. On the bright side, Notre Dame is 2-0 with an offense that hasn't scored a touchdown yet. Once the offense gets going, this could be a very good team. Notre Dame has the talent to take down Michigan next week, whether or not that talent is able to do so remains to be seen. The Irish defense will certainly be up to the task, but they can't be expected to produce another 14 points next week. (same paste)

Actually, I think a better terminology is that they will feel right at home with the wine and cheese crowd that occupies South Bend. :)

Now before I say anything I am in no way trying to say that ND will beat Michigan or anyone else this year but want to give you something to think about. Does anyone remember a certain Baltimore Raven team that won a Superbowl on defense and special teams alone? (and their field goal kicker ain't to shabby)Again not saying that ND will win anymore games you just better hope it doesn't come down to a kicking contest. Just a little food for thought!

I'm for sure passing on this game, but if I had to bet it I would take michigan. I think RobertBIrish is exactlly right on the fact that this team wins on defense and special teams. It looks like this is the nd team of 2000 when they played oregon st. in the fiesta bowl and got hammerd and hung with neb with defense of td's and special td's. Holiday is horrible with this offense and it has shown this season with not one offense of td. so I will not lay any money on nd this week because I can see a low scoring game with nd maybe getting lucky and keeping it close with a special teams or a defense of td and the fact that Notre Dame is 10-2-1 ATS as a home doggie.
