The lowdown: The last time left-hander Andrew Lorraine started a major-league game, he was pitching for the Chicago Cubs against Arizona in the 2000 season. He also pitched for the Angels, White Sox, Athletics, Mariners, and Indians. His season-high for games was 12 with Oakland in 1997. The Brewers face what manager Jerry Royster considers the most underrated of Chicago's starters, Matt Clement, who shut out the Diamondbacks on three hits in his last start. -

Thanks TJBELL for the quick reply. I think I will try the cubs today but am a little more hesitant with the stats you just gave me.

Do you have an opinion on this game?
Do you like any day games today?

THANKS AGAIN

I think after looking at the ump I may just go with the over in the cubs game.

Left-hander Andrew Lorraine, who was promoted from Class AAA Indianapolis this week, will start for the Brewers on Thursday against Chicago, manager Jerry Royster said. Lorraine was 7-11 with a 3.05 earned run average in 35 games, including 34 starts, for Indianapolis. The Brewers are taking a look at some of their young pitchers with an eye toward the 2003 rotation. "We will see what he can do, too," Royster said. "He has got some experience up here, unlike the others. It is not like this is his first start in the major leagues. It is easier to judge." Lorraine last started in the majors in July 2000 while with Cleveland. . . .
