i'm glad everybody has this one figured out and saw all the money bags the books have prepared to give away. they have the christmas gift of the year and the money is stacked high to just 'give' away to us. how nice of them, huh? hell, they aren't even moving the line and still letting us get in at 7 at some places? hmmmmm.... free money! gotta love it!

. Anyway its gettin' closer to kick-off and can't find a reason to play minny nor have have I seen any sound reasoning to tak'em OTHER then the point you made on the books holding to their number. this is the type of game you gotta just say 'no-way' to. There are many better games and lines out there....we do not have to play them all....

The fact that PITT is playing so dominant and everyone is sick on Moss/Vikings after pitiful performance, I'm surprised the line hasn't moved more also. I can't play this game, unless I tease PITT down, because MINN is capable of scoring alot of points when inspired, and Steelers may be due for a let down type game. I can't see PITT losing at home though.

For me, I'm passing... and HOPEFULLY for you JACK, so is CULPEPPER and MOSS is doing some catching!!

The numbers that jump out at me are the facts that the Vikings haven't covered once this year as a road dog(0-3),and unlike Nate Newton,they're allergic to grass,going 0-2 ATS on natural surface this year.Maybe Randy Moss will "want to" this week because the game is close to his WVA home,but I'm not sure the rest of the o will want to or be able to handle Pitt.Agree that there are better games out there,but I'm playing the above trends 'til they snap and against the Vikes.

Could not agree more MJ. Just talked to my book and line is still -7. (I was shocked) I am still on Pitt, but it looks like a classic: "If it looks too good it probaly is!" Just do not belibeve Pitt lets this one get away. Look for Pitt to open it up late.

the question is:

is smelling a rat a good reason to bet on a team that you otherwise will not touch?

or is it that you (not just mj) really wanted minny, but since you didn't get 7.5 or 8.5, you will use the "rat theory" to justify it?

pep, i got +8 but betting because i cant see the books giving the money away. looks too easy. that's strictly my reasoning.

and, like yyz said, they ARE capable of lighting up the scoreboard and if they do pit won't be able to hang.

Dallas just can't score! Plus they haven't solved their kicking game (and new long snapper). That's worth at least 5 points.

I don't see a "let down" from the Redskins. As a matter of fact, they should be fired up for this one, seeing it as a challenge to break that 8-game losing streak to these CowGirls.

I thought the NFL monitored the so-called status of players very clearly. First, FOX reports he isn't going to play; then, he might play. Might be a good way to hope for a lucky middle if you had a 7/10 switch. At any rate, based on Minny's road record, grass performance and overall attitude, I think Pitt covers 7 or 10 without a problem.
