Milton is a hot lefty his last three games. Tonite Texas' temp will not be that hot. Minn is a young team and they play better after a day of rest. That is the case tonite. They have an even series with Tx so far this year,but have a good record in Tx.Now Minn must turn it up a notch to compete with Clev for the division title. Without I. Rod in the game (questionable cuz of knee tendonitis), these two teams are even in offense. But with Milton vs Bell, we have a big mismatch. Milton has given up 10 ER vs Tx is his last 26 innings vs Rangers. Bell has given up 8 runs in 11 innings vs Minn. Milton is more effective at nite with ERA 3.79, has a great ERA and WHIP his last three games, whereas Bell has 8.46 ERA at nite and 6.60 ERA at home. The key, tho, is that extra day of rest. When Minn has the extra day of rest for Milton, i.e. 5 days of rest or more between starts, Minn is 6-0 with Milton on the mound. Tx is 2-3 with the 5 day rest for Bell. In Texas, the team with the best defense succeeds. Minn has the better defense that can run to the ball in that hitters park.
