...my thoughts are probably worth exactly what you're paying for them, but FWIW, here they are....
I like Minny...no, take that back.... I like Maroney. I have him in my ncaa fantasy league. Minny's RB core is leading the league in rushing and I am really considering putting them on the pine this week after that pathetic showing last week. As has already been mentioned, Minny usually shines in the first few games, which are usually at home and almost always against poor opponents.... When they get into conference play, they usually lay an egg, which is what you saw at Penn St last week. When a defense can slow down and/or stop Minny's running game, they make them one dimensional, which is what most defenses try to do.... The difference is when you can do that to Minny, there is no passing game to make up the slack.... Cuputo (sp?) sucks IMHO. I sure wouldn't want my back door cover in his hands at the end of the game.... This week they are not at home and not facing "poor" competition...and if Mich makes them throw the ball, I don't see Cuputo getting the job done.
...all that being said, you may be wondering why I wouldn't be all over mich. well, the main reason is fawking lloyd carr.... i simply don't trust him...especially as -7+ chalk.... I don't care if he's at the big house or not.... mich seems to play down to the competition.... maybe its a personal preference, but i just hate playing mich in conf play at anything over a TD.
could minny get the ground game going and maroney have a field day like at purdue? not likely. could mich shut down the run like at penn st? maybe. probably something in between. anyway, bottom line is the line seems to beg for minny money...so it's mich or pass and i just can't justify laying the chalk with lloyd carr, who never seems to run up the score.... good luck whatever you decide to do...and good luck this weekend.
