It seems like everyone is on this play which makes me a little worried. I hope it's not another Southern Illinois or Louisiana Tech.
There's no question that MSU has the better team, the Bulldogs are outshooting Richmond 51% to 34% and are out-rebounding their opponents by ten while the Spiders have been getting out-rebounded by nine. MSU point guard Zimmerman is shooting 57% from the field with 72 assists vs only 37 turnovers.
What worries me here is the look-ahead. The Bulldogs are in the middle of playing five games in eight days and have to face #25 Cincinnati tomorrow night with another game on Saturday.
And while MSU may be the better team, they only beat Richmond by 14 earlier this year in a revenge match (Richmond had beaten MSU the year before in Mississippi). In that game MSU was down -4 at the half and needed a 15-2 run to take control of the game.
Any thoughts?
