Missouri has not won in Lincoln since 1978, and while this year's version of the Huskers may be their worst in quite some time, my gut feeling is that this is a no play on the side for the game.

Throw in the fact that the Tigers arrived early this morning due to the plane mishap and the fact that Missouri has gotten ultra-conservative with the play calling and you have yourself a better than average play on the Under 50.
I also think Nebraska +1 for the first half has value.

I will say that this week in Columbia has been turbulent for Coach Pinkel. He has suspended Damian Nash (starting Tailback) and has been taking major heat for his perceived bottling up of Brad Smith which may or may not be the reason for the loss to Oklahoma St. I happen to think that Smith is vastly overrated and one dimensional. You stop his running and make him make decisions in the passing game and you stall the Missouri offense. Pinkel will also pull the redshirt off of Tony Temple, True Freshman from KC. :sadwave:

The last time a redshirt was pulled in Lincoln was for Corby Jones to play in his first college game.

Tormenta, great info. I was at Mizzou from 80-84 and I caught the very end of the good times in that era. When they got Pinkel, I thought they had finally made the right move and gotten a coach that can turn the program around for the long haul. With what has happened with Pinkel this season, I have lost a lot of respect for him. I can't believe how thin skinned the guy is. What Corso said about him earlier in the season and what Nash said last week was right on the money. If I was a recruit looking at Mizzou, the way Pinkel has acted this season would make me think twice before commiting to Mizzou. Why are they trying to make Smith into the second coming of Fran Tarkington????? I agree with your assesment that Smith is overrated, especially his passing ability.

Oh well just some random thoughts.

Good Luck
