I apologize for getting excited. Everyone knows I am a Missouri fan so you shouldn't take me to seriously on my thoughts about the Tiger games.
In 1985 when the Royals won the world series I lived in St Louis and I was 5 years old. I cried when the Cardinals lost the world series. You see I have never had a team win anything. I don't take for granted what Yankee and Duke fans expect out of thier teams every year. Living in KC and being a Tiger, Royals, and Chiefs fan can be tough on some one who is so compassionate about sports. No matter what, these will be my teams till the day I die no matter where I live.
Anyways, OU didn't beat the Tigers. They beat themselves by missing free throws and by Gilbert jacking up shots when he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Missouri has nothing to be ashamed of, we outrebounded OU and held them to a low shooting percentage. Missouri will only be better next year with a super class coming in. Here is the one cliche that has been the story of my life. "We'll get em next year". So here is to you A1 :thefinger

Missouri Tigers: First #12 seed to EVER make it to the Elite 8 in the history of the Tournament since they expanded to 64 teams.
I'd say they've exceeded expectations.
What really amazes me are the people that can't wait for another person's team to finally get knocked off so they can get on here and scoff like fools while their team's sitting at home wishing they could only go that far.

Listen, I am not trying to scoff anyone! ALL that I was trying to say is, This is a betting board, where we share info., and try to give eachother the edge. If you want to root for your local team, either go to the pep rally, post it on the general board, or just keep your mouth shut. I have no hope for the Royals, I am not a big time Cardinal fan but I am aware that they have solid pitching from the starting rotation through the bullpen right to their new closer Isringhausen. Also they have one of the more potent offenses in the NL especiall if Drew and Edmonds can stay healthy. Anyways I don't have time for the baseball forum. I did great last year on my own studying matchups eveynight till 3 in the morning. Baseball is my thing being that I pitched in college a couple of year in a JUCO till I tore out my rotator cuff. I know baseball better then I know anything in this world. I had the oppurtunity to compete with many players that are now pro traveling all over the country to places like Florida, California, and Oklahoma. I seen some of my better friends get drafted in the later rounds and got to give up a bomb to Albert Pujols. So have a nice life, I am done with this BS and I will have fun this season on my own.

Stewy was saying ML, and if you look at his post, he does not give one reason why, other than the fact that he is from there. He is a "hometown" hero, and generally, these types lose, and lose BIG! Because he pitched in some rinky dink Junior College, he thinks he is the sports Authority, but the fact is, he is just a fan, and not a competitor, or a capper.
just wanted to make it clear, I wasn't trying to be an ass on the OU moneyline thing....I was just trying to get a rise out of ya for some pregame smack.....they had shocked a lot of people already just getting there. Between gilbert's horrible game and the bricklaying at the line, it was amazing that they still could have won. Not a Tigers fan, but I respect what they accomplished this year. Good luck in baseball, I could use all the baseball advice I can get....look forward to your posts.
