Listed pitchers Leiter and Halsey
Line found at Pinnacle

I was very impressed with Halsey against the Dodgers. He pitched 5.2 innings, gave up 5 hits, 2 runs, struck out 3 and walked just 1. That left him with a whip 1.06 and an era of 3.18. Halsey was also doing very well for the Columbus Clippers, the Yankees AAA organization, where he had a record of 6-2 and carried an era of 2.52 while striking out 51 and walking 19. Al Leiter's era and whip are very impressive. He has an era of 2.14 and a whip of 1.25 but teams are getting on base at an average of .314 against him. He has struck out 37 on the year but has also walked 35. He has some shoulder problems and in my opinion he has been surviving on smoke and mirrors. I don't think he is going to fare well tonight against this Yankee team. The offensive advantages go to the Yankees as well as the bullpens. The Yankees have won their last 7 games against their cross town rival and they should make it their 8th tonight.
