Two pitchers coming off below average starts in their last outings. Looking for both pitchers to bounce back. Armas' poor start could be attributed to him throwing over 120 pitches the start before, now he should be rested. Burkett has been great on the road. He is 5-3 with a 2.23 ERA away from Turner field. Nine of his twelve road starts have gone Under the total. He has pitched 28 innnings on turf this year and has only allowed seven earned runs (2.25 ERA). So far this year he has faced the Expos once and was dominant, 7.2 IP, two hits allowed, and zero earned runs. Teams have had a tuff time hitting him all year long. Here are the oppenents' averages: Overall .218, Away .205, Lefties .208, Righties .226........ Armas has been much better at home than away. At Olympic he is 5-3 with a 2.52 ERA, on turf overall he has a 3.41 ERA in 87 innings pitched. One start Vs. Atlanta this year he pitched seven innings with zero earned runs allowed. Overall teams have hit him at a .245 clip and at home an even better .229. Finally, Jerry Meals is the ump behind the dish today and is quite friendly towards the under. Twenty games behind the plate and the under has pulled through 15 out of 20 times, with teams scoring a combined average of only 7.87 per game when he is the home plate ump.

Let's make some money today,
