Did the MLS even discuss not playing during the WC? I think it is a little nuts that any respectable league plays during the WC. I really do not follow the league, but I think this further undermines its credibility. Just do not understand it.

Yeah usually take off during the group stage, but without the usmnt in the tournament, it's not as big of an effect. It's a spring to fall season, so they can't take a month off. I like MLS and it doesn't bother me and I haven't heard a lot of criticism from fans of the league.
