Got a few plays tonight:

Bellator XI:

Parlay:
Lyman Good(-325) over Omar De La Cruz
Vagner Rocha(+225) over Igor Gracie.
50 wins 160

I would be lying if I told you I know who Rocha is(only 1-0 record), but I have seen both of Igor's fights and I can tell you the Gracie's might make him fight under a different name soon based on what I have seen from him.:mj07: He has no power like most Gracie's and he is not very sound to say the least. I think odds are much higher just because of Gracie name in this one.

And if you have never seen or heard of Lyman Good then you will soon enough.

Looking into GFL fights, but I don't see anything that jumps out at me.

This one seems to easy so it has me worried but I will play it:

Dan Hornbuckle(-115) over Marcelio Alfaia for 230 wins 200.
WHAT THE HELL? Hornbuckle can bring it as he is a very well rounded fighter and should have no problems here.

I'm with you on Good, dude
apparently the Hornbuckle fight is off.

Welterweight - 3 Rounds
Marcelo Alfaya (10-5) vs. Mazaffar Abdurakhmanov (?)
* Abdurakhmanov is a late replacement for Dan Hornbuckle, who was "removed for medical reasons."
He's a former Division I wrestler who has trained with Team Sityodtong in Boston.

Welterweight Tournament Final Bout - 5 Rounds
Omar De La Cruz (6-1) +255 vs. Lyman Good (9-0) -325

I am pretty sure I was dead on in my assessment of Gracie and his odds. He is similar to Renzo in that he just tries to shoot and get on top of you and try the occasional submission and just steal rounds by staying on top of you(See Renzo vs F.Shamrock before DQ).

And the odds were set strictly because of his name, oddsmakers could not have seen this guy fight before to make him that big a fav. I didn't go bigger because I had no idea who Rocha was.I guess that really didn't matter.

Damn it.
Ellenberger knocks out Alfaya in 42 seconds.
That would have been Hornbuckle.
CRAP!

Hornbuckle bout was called off cpl days ago and
I didnt offer the Gracie bout. I almost bet against Igor elsewhere simply because I never saw Igor fight MMA..... but definitely wasnt gonna offer it knowing there were people out there that had.

I've seen Tom Gallicchio fight and he was no prize, so I didnt know what to make of Igor's opp. Vagner Rocha fought in the Daytona MMA event I offred a while back, but he had no history so there was no line on him there either. Prevention is as good as win for the house.

Anyways...good call.

Lyman Good (10-0) def. Omar De La Cruz (5-2) via TKO (Punches) at 1:23 of Round 1

Lyman Good is your inaugural Bellator Welterweight Champion. He'll defend his belt against the winner of next year's welterweight tournament.

Nice +160 that could have been +360 if Hornbuckle would not have been scratched.

I always seem to finish with nice winners on cards like these and always in the nigative in UFC cards.
I guess that I am not a mainstream guy.

Both fighters come together for the championship match at center ring. Fighters size each other up for a second. Fighters clinch and go to the ground. Good gets a top mount with Cruz in guard. Good takesDe La Cruz to the cage wall with his top mount and De La Cruz is in full guard. Good's attempts to posture up are guarded nicely byDe La Cruz with his legs around Lyman's back. Good gets a small combination on De La Cruz but is quickly defended again. Good lands another right punch on De La Cruz. Strikes are short with not much power. Three nice left hand punches landed by Good. Good gets free and postures up. He starts to lay down right haymakers on Cruz, one after another, until the referee jumps in to call the TKO. Good is just too powerful and relentess for De La Cruz. No defense against that! Get the belt and check ready with Lyman Good's name on it, he's our Welterweight World Champion.

Thought Cruz was live there being so wirey. Still think Lyman has some flaws but these Bellator cards are better than most UFC cards.
