NY JETS -1 First Half
I think this is the best play on the board by far. The emotion of the players and crowd will be most apparent in the beginning of the game, hence the EDGE to JETS early. I believe the JETS will either come out running (expected) and will be able to move the ball effectively and get some points on the board, while controlling the clock. With the return of HEARST, SF may also try and establish a running game, but it will prove ineffective i.m.o. If this plays out, JETS will go to HT leading something like 10-7 or 13-7.
HOWEVER, I think the JETS have a surprise game plan in store. They are talking about a "vanilla" game plan, but I doubt if that's what they do. I'm looking for them to come out firing and putting SF, and their inept pass defense on their heels! It's MNF and the whole country is watching, so why do what everyone expects?? They only managed 10 pts vs NE using a run control type game, but that was on the road, and the first game back after the WTC, so it made sense to play it conservatively, close to the vest so to speak. I think they want to put on a show and give NY something to feel good about. My feeling is they are gonna play much more wide open, catching SF totally off guard, and they will be leading 14-0 before SF catches it's breath. Once they have the lead, they may abandon that plan and begin to run, but by then, the rush lanes will be open and MARTIN will roll. SF will get some points, no doubt, too much offense to shut down there, but I see NY winning this one, whether high scoring or low scoring, but again, I feel the best play is NY JETS FH.
Here are my plays for now, and of course, I'll be here at HT!
NY JETS -1 FH ** TRIPLE PLAY **
JETS OVER 44.5 1 unit
6.5 Teaser JETS +3.5 / UNDER 53.5
If FH total goes to 24, I may have to take it UNDER also. That's too many points in a game with too many questions....
