This matchup sets up to be a dandy with two of the AFC?s most accurate pivots leading their offenses against streaking defenses.

A rolling New York Jets squad has won four consecutive games straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS), while the hometown Oakland Raiders will go in search of their fourth straight SU and ATS.

The Jets defense has been phenomenal during the four-game win streak, as the team has held opponents to an amazing 50 points through those four contests. And the team?s defense has been bolstered by a stellar offense, which is led by the ultra-efficient Chad Pennington.

The Pennington-led Jets have posted more than 30 points twice, and more than 40 on one occasion, during their four-game win streak. Pennington has completed an amazing 70.2 percent of his passes and owns the AFC's best quarterback rating, at 99.8.

Meanwhile, the Raiders bring the NFL's highest scoring offense into this clash with to face a rejuvenated Jets defense. The Raiders have lit up the scoreboard with 29.8 points per game on a league-best 412.6 total yards. Quarterback Rich Gannon's 3535 passing yards are the most by any pivot in the league and his 99.1 quarterback rating is second in the AFC to only the Jets' Pennington. Gannon has led his offense to a league-best 310.4 yards through the air per outing.

Both squads also enter this contest with fantastic Monday Night Football track records. While Oakland is the NFL's winningest Monday night squad, at 35-19-1 SU all-time, the Jets are the one of the league's hottest Monday primetime teams.

New York is 5-2 SU since becoming good enough to be allowed back in primetime in 1998.

However, the team is an even 3-3-1 ATS in those seven games. However, it is important to note the Jets are a perfect 3-0 ATS as road 'dogs during that stretch. And it's also necessary to point out the Raiders are a sub-par 2-4 SU and ordinary 3-3 ATS in Monday Night Football contests since 1997.

One of those two wins came earlier this season, as Oakland walked into Denver on a Monday night, and came away with a convincing 34-10 victory. The SU and ATS win jumpstarted the team's current three-game SU and ATS win streak, in which the Raiders have surrendered a miserly 16.7 points per contest. They have also limited teams to 266.7 yards per contest over their last three.

The Raiders have owned meetings with AFC East teams in recent years, going 2-0 ATS this season and bankroll-expanding 19-8 ATS against AFC East opponents since 1992. However, Oakland is 3-6 ATS in December games over the last two seasons.

New York is one of the NFL's better road squads and is10-3 SU and 9-4 ATS in the teams last 13 road dates, looking back to last season. The Jets are 5-2 ATS as underdogs this season, and are a perfect 2-0 ATS as road 'dogs.

Four of Oakland's last five games have dropped 'under' the closing 'total'.

Oddsmakers have Oakland as a six-point favorite and the 'total' is set at 48.
