Getting to start the week off early. Anyone ever stop to think that they schedule a Tuesday game after an easy monday night winner to get you to double or triple up and get theirs back + yours?

Having said that, gonna play the norm and look forward to a strong weekend.

Lousiville team o 30 ( 3 units)....averaging just over 32 pts/game and have scored over 30 in last 3 games in series
Memphis team o 19 ( 2units)...have scored over that total in last 4 of that series
Game o 49 ( 2 units)

Can i ask, why totals and team totals? What got you started there? Whatever it is, i love it. Dunno why, but i would rather play a total and a team total than a side (my weakness being overs).

thisisbad, that's a good question. 1st and foremost, I love overs. In local pools, everytime I take an over, I get an "You, taking the over, no way" response. I once read something that Nolan once wrote about how unders are the smarter play because it takes nothing to happen for you to win, as opposed to an over, cause then you are counting on something. The casual better looks at a total of 41 and says "gee, only 6 td's and I'm golden". I used to do it all the time. I have lived by Nolan's words ever since and tried to modify how I play my overs.

As far as team totals, I like them better than sides most times, cause you can still score the necessary points but still lose. I know that this really isn't sound reasoning, but it works for me. I like to look at what a team averages, and then what they averaged over past contests in that series. Factor in what the opposing defense does or hasn't done, and then just HOPE . Truthfully, the team totals are just another way for the book to take your money plain and simple. I just try to find the ones that seem to be out of whack and go from there. Not sure if this was what you were looking for, but it is my reasoning in a nutshell.

Yeah, i know what people say about unders, but i can't help loving overs. Makes me a public guy i guess? I dunno.

Your answer was good. I know books add in that extra stuff to take your money, but i figure anything they put a line on, you can make money off of if you do it right. I think too many times i don't look into a line enough, and just go off "what looks good". That's why i was wondering. Thanks for answering. I'll be checking back with ya tonight!

I also meant to say i agree on team totals a lot caue sometimes you can get a feel for what one team will do, but not for the other, so you can say Team A will score this many, but i can't say what TEam B's offense will do, so i can't figure out covers or totals. I think it helps to narrow down your thinking sometimes....

VT avg 40 pts in past 3 games in series....and avg 30.8 in last 5 of series...avg 35.8 pts on the season.....Only thing that worries me a bit is the place kicker carter warley is out.

VT - 10 ( 2 units)

Still doing some figuring on the Min/NW game. Have slight lean to NW team o 21.
