Thanks for the words yesterday. You know who you are so I won't spot-put. I can't stand summer olympics, anyways, save for the diamonds.

(sun:4-0-1 +6.19)
29-17-3 +28.41
ML:18-8 +20.52 (faves:7-3 +7.46) (dogs:11-5 +13.06)
RL:3-2 +6.23
1st5:3-0-1 +3.5
totals:0-4-1 -7.98 (ov:0-2 -4.5) (un:0-2-1 -3.48)
team totals:2-1-1 +1.02
parlays:3-2 +5.12
(Jays sides:4-1 +6.66 <no shit> (all dogs))
(windays-losedays: 4-4)(best:+16.57)(worst:-2.56)

Finally a winning Sunday (0-1 last week...damn Yankees!)
Was some sweet miraculousness as I added to my yanks play, which looked like shit early, and also hit a 3-teamer (+820) with doggies jays, Reds and a's, all of which had to come from behind.
Not counting said mentioned above as wasn't posted.
(z'okay...not counting losing 1st5's on yanks and jays for same reason)
Not all was wet t-shirt time...dang Lakers cost me a 4-teamer at 17-to-1 (just needed W). Like 14 secs left, down by 1, and Kobe misses 2 free throws?!?!...dang overpaid flippin' future HOF'er!
Fade my totals, at least until I hit one.
(got a push...improvin'!)

Enough blathering on (1.95 pots of coffee will do that to me).

mon
----------
Cubs -145 2.9/2
---Dempster was great last season, is great vs brewers, was great in the spring and great in his 1st @Atlanta; Davis has been good vs Cubs, particularly at Wrigley, but nothing special this spring and poor in his first vs rockies; clincher for me here is cubs playing afternoon while brew-crew, possibly going to extras (known within 5 minutes), has to travel late for this early one Monday (no extras...still traveling late)

Phillies -1.5 -113 1.13/1
---Hamels has been very good vs--pretty good @ in his first, while Marquis has not, especially @Phil, and certainly in his first '010...shitty spring for him as well; no contest comparing sticks; nats were pounded often on the road '09.

Marlins -1.5 +151 0.66/1
---Flor. gettin' the sticks going and stay home while reds travel; Cueto had a crap spring, can't keep the ball in the park and appear heading towards washed up rather young; Nolasco heading in the opposite direction; of all 30 MLB teams, reds had the fewest 1-run losses on the road (i.e. 81.4% of their road losses were by multiple)

Giants -1.5 +132 1/1.32
---wish I could find R/L splits for runlines...let's put it this way, pitt was 17-42 away to R in '09 (.288) and 5-16 away to L (.238)...not a huge diff but they had worse offensive numbers (actually more offensive, depending on how the word is being used) against L all-'round, not to mention that the Giants were great at home '09 (39-22 vs R or .639), Zito has rejuvenated his career (incl. a beauty in his 1st @Houston) and Ohlendorf should not have made the team with the spring he had (total dogshit); I'm parlaying the moneyline when able (morning) so this will have to do for now; did I mention that pitt faces climate change (WW:rolleyes: aren't we all:rolleyes: ) after being disgraced Sunday in 'Zona while SF stays put after a satisfying come-from-behind win. Sorta sounds like doggie-style. Buy already, damn it, buy!!!

I'm going to submit before talkin' 'bout the Tigers and the rest of their league.
Never know if I might get kidnapped by Al-Kaline or whatever terrorists.

A.L. (Kaline...Tigers...get it?...:142slap: )

Tigers -1 1.31/1
---Max had been good vs kc before (who hasn't?) while their earlier go 'round was the first time Hochevar had survived the Claws; he's been trash in 1+1 @Comerica and, more importantly, he's been crap during day games in 15+1(2nd always relief app.) and on the road in 23+1; Tigersticks won't take it easy on him this time, methinks (huge edge their, regardless); Scherzer has been good in day games; staying home, too, while kc escapes from home after the 'sox socked 'em; not touching Det 1st5 until they show they can rack 'em up early (keep coming on late, it seems); Tigers not a great RL team '09, mostly due to an atrocious bullpen, hence the safer -1, for me anywho

lean a's as they're hitting way better than M's; think I can get better than the +107 av...if not c'est la vie

rays -146 2.92/2
---watched the O's series with jays this weekend and, as suspected, their offense blows...rays monster edge there; Garza has been great vs the O's in 9 including very good in 5 @Camden, not to mention his solid spring and shut-down of these same bats in his first at the Trop; former 1st-rounder Guthrie might be getting old before his time and he's been nothing special in 10+2 vs, he had a crappy spring, and he's not so hot in either night games or at home; I want this one more but O's stayin' put while tb is travelling after a double-shot of yankee impalement...might find a parlay place for some more ri$k if the price hasn't ballooned

Blue Jays +117 0.85/1
---going to ride the show while it's workin'; Jays home opener; Tallet ain't bad and chistix haven't got me convinced yet, despite the one-in-a-row win; Peavy has never faced the Jays and those few sticks that have haven't done much ("have haven't" is Bad English as any punk rocker will tell you); looks like still no Hill; wtf...Jays 5-1 and have been dogs every time

I want to add to most of these but seems to be a few price tags and/or run-lines happenin.'
I think I'll sleep on it; serious playoff action coming up in two major sports, after all.
Well, one and a half.

I'm mad-money pushing my luck today so wtf:

one early:
P2 Tigers -183 / Phillies -1.5 -130
+173 0.58/1

one late:
P2 Marlins -138 / Giants -161
+179 0.84/1.5

I like the rays and the Cubs, too.
rays scoring is down, so far, however.
I see Jack likes the brew-crew today and he's hotter than Jennifer Bentley used to be.

I'll take a plus. Would make 4 days straight.
Last Monday was great, BTW.

enjoy

phew...7 straight balls from Baez but he bailed.

added:

braves -113 1.13/1
---Jurrjens great in 2 vs (both home) and had a good spring and 1st start vs cubs; Correia is poor vs in 3+4 and nothing special spring or 1st start @Ariz; got this low 60s, without Chipper (%, for what it's worth this early), but wouldn't touch the -145 opener

a's +119 0.84/1
---see above; I figured this line would go up (Jays, too, but it was a wtf, so wtf)

1st5 Marlins -0.5 +101 1/1.01
1st5 rays -140 1.4/1

Got Bobby Orr for Tuesday, already.
Need some more input from tonight.

Not exactly smoking today
(well...you know what I mean)
but I think I'm surviving.

adding:

Giants -1.5 +115 1/1.15

My earlier are toast due to Ohlendorf dumpage.
Burres made two starts while a Blue Jays and he was majorly pathetic, as he had been historically.
G-men doing well, early, vs L.
