I capped Wofford just a couple a days ago in their game at Furman (Wofford was a 2.5 point dog and won SU by one) and I was impressed by Wofford's early season schedule and a couple of their young players.

Sagerin judged Wofford's early season schedule as the toughest in college hoops which included road games at VA, NC State, SC, WVA, V-Tech, Clemson and Auburn.

Okay so they lost them all but one, but as someone pointed out NC State at 75% is probably still tougher than a SoCon team.

And while Wofford was on the road getting beat up by the top teams in the south, The Citadel was getting their 5 wins against these top hoop programs:

Emmanuel
Southwestern
Oglethorpe
High Point
Webber

And they lost by 12 to both Charleston Southern and South Carolina State on their home court????

The only thing that scares me off Wofford is that the home team in this series has won the last 5, but I think this is where Wofford's tough early pre-season schedule will pay dividends.

Blue Ribbon forecast Furman (which Wofford beat in their last game on the road) to be the top team in the SoCon South with Wofford #4 and The Citadel #6 (last).

Wofford looks to be the surprise team of the year in the SoCon, let's keep playing them until Vegas figures this out.

Line is already PK at Pinnacle and CRIS, still +1 at Olympic.

I also really like Furman at home over Western Carolina.

Furman outplayed Wofford -- with significant advantages in FG% and rebounding, but Furman turned the ball over like 25 times and missed 3 shots which could have won it in the last half minute.

Furman lost their game before that to Georgia Southern 71-64 after being up by 44-30 at the half.

Bottom line is that Furman, who was favored to win the SoCon South comes into this game with a 0-3 league record. They've got some good players and they'll turn things around tonite at home.

Line opened at -7 and has moved to -6.5.

I'm hoping to get -5.5.

Redking -- Thanks.

Line is -1 at Oly and -1.5 at most other books.

I understand this will be a play of one of the big syndicates, look for some more line movement within the next 45 minutes.
