Well time to put my 6-1 bowl game record on the line again. This week's early morning game doens't look so easy. WHile the later game looks pretty good for Toledo.

MPC Computer's Bowl @ Boise, ID

Being that I really don't care about this game, I'm gonna just brief up on it. Fresno State ranks 5th in the nation in scoring ppg. Bulldogs have also intercepted 16 passes this year and has one of the best pass defenses in the nation. Fresno's defense also only allows 19.9 ppg this season. Fresno is also and a 5 game killing streak. They also have all WAC players in DT Garrett McIntyre, LT Logan Mankins (also a 2nd team All-American), and DB James Sanders. However the downside of Fresno is that they allow 155.8 rushing ypg. And this is Virginia's forte. Also need to find out if Fresno State's Noseguard Donyell Booker is cleared to play as he may have not gotten the grades to play.
Virginia touts a stronger defense with 5 ACC all conference players. They are LB Ahmad Brooks(an All American), OG Elton Brown, OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson, TE Health Miller (an All American), RB Alvin Pearman.
The only thing is Fresno coach Pat Hill always gets his team ready to play hard no matter what the situation. Virginia may also have a let down being that they missed out on bigger and better bowls. Therefore, I'm gonna stay away from this game, with a slight lean on Virginia.

Motor City Bowl
Well didn't do too much research into this game yet, check back later as I will find out more about it. But I am liking Toledo on this game. Toledo has played tougher teams. They are lead by Gradkowski, who is being scouted on by NFL scouts and he would want to impress them by ending his college career with a bang. This guy can play and he can kill you with his arm or legs. Connecticut's QB is good, but he's not Gradkowski. This game has potential to go back and forth, but Toledo will win by at least a touchdown. Toledo doesn't have RB Scooter McDougal, but that will not matter too much. As long as Gradkowski is in the game, toledo will cover.

2 Units: Toledo -3.5

Replies are welcome, or actually wanted as I may have missed out on some aspect of the game. Good Luck

just to clarify:

yes, gradkowski is playing

but he's a redshirt junior, thus he will be back next year.

regardless, i like the play. toledo wins by 10-13 pts imo.

Gradkowski is playing, Scooter McDougal is not. Gradkowski's toughness will inspire the rest of the team to play hard.

Good job

Good job

Bruddah Soljah:

I commend you on doing a fantastic job on doing your researches on the game. I'm sure a lot of time and effort goes into doing this. Your info helps pretty much into deciding which way to swing sometimes.. Once again, Mahalo plenty!

i want to go with Fresno, but my research is telling me to go with Virginia. I dunno, I am biased towards the WAC, being that hawaii is from theree, but Virginia tells me to go with them. Same thing happened with Wyoming and UCLA, just be carefull. Don't go too big on this game. Toledo looks much better, not as good as Oregon State, but looking like the best of today's games,

Okay I just dissed my site where i started from, but ehy ain't giving me any feedback so I gotta cut them off. You know wher that site is JWIN, that same one that banned you, F them, they haven't given me any good info or support. So i'm cutting them from my posts. too bad so sad, tough shit for them. Now its time to turn it on starting with a small play on Toledo, then a big one on Oregon State. I know theres's 4 guys suspended on OSU's team, but they don't factor into the equation. As they are not starters...

Fresno State

Fresno State

Coach Hill has that motto of "We'll play anybody, anyplace." He'll have his dogs ready. The WAC is not in the same league as Virginia, but Fresno State is a bit of a giant killer.

Playing Fresno State.

Hey soljah, the first thing I look up in the morning are your writeups. You seem to put all the important factors into account that justifies your picks. Hey I'm glad you and JWB switched. That other place really suck. Keep up the excellent work cuz I'm with ya on your picks.
Hey, have any of you heard from Blessings, cuz I was watchin the Hawaii halftime show and Jasmine Trias reminded me of her.

Yups that other site did suck. Haha, i really don't remember dissing that site last night, I was all messed up, but i guess I did, type all of that huh? anyways I really don't know if i can research this game, my head is pounding. 21-7 Virginia, I have a feeling Fresno is gonna come back somewhat. But virginia is looking like a far better team, more so defensively. I personally want Fresno to win though, because they are from the WAC, and Hawaii is from the WAC. Just don't think they will beat the spread.
DrVic, as far as Blessings I see her posts once in a while. She was alright, but there's a lot of better girls in Hawaii. The thing that intrigued me of Blessing was that she liked to gamble on the games. that means she liked watching it too.

Had placed a small bet on UVa. Debating whether to play medium or large on Toledo depending on your opinion on this one.

Toledo and UConn are dead even on the opponent's avg power rankings. But I agree on the QB comparison, Gradkowski is both mentally and physically tough. Yes UConn's QB Orlovsky is good, but he seems to have trouble with better teams. Toledo's defense really stepped up against their last 3 opponents, N. Illinois, Bowling Green, and Miami-Ohio, but still show significant weakness in their secondary. This is UConn's 1st Div-1A bowl appearance, so we're looking at a tough game to call. I still like Toledo to cover.

Can't wait to see your post on this game soljah. GL!

I also forgot to mention, Toledo is a second half team, so don't be worried if they are down by 10-14 points after the first half. If they keep it with in 7 or are actually winning, Toledo should cover easy.
